Well, about Resident Evil 4 Beta Build n.2, the game was complete at about 40% when was interrupted. Gamefront.de talk about that in an article of November 2002
"Neue Infos zu Biohazard 4
20.11.02 - Wie Capcom in der aktuellen Famitsu Cube & Advance mitteilt, ist noch nicht entschieden, auf wie vielen DVDs Biohazard 4 ausgeliefert wird.
Der Entwicklungsstand liegt derzeit bei 40 %. Release: TBA"
For Resident Evil 4 Beta Build n.3, we have trailer and footage gameplay and maybe full 42 rooms (from build n.2 and build n.3).

Sorry to break into the discussion, but does anybody still have that picture of the old man which was assumed to be a prototype model of Spencer?
It's the one from Enrico Marini's avatar...
I'd love to see that picture again, but I can't seem to find it anymore...

So we are to gather from that interview that the main hero for the original RE4 version which became DMC was going to be the son of Ozwell Spencer. Interesting.
I wonder what the story between those two twins were before it got switched over to DMC?
Meh, guess we'll never know.
So anyways, does anyone have any theories on to what the airship was gonna be used for before they scrapped that entire concept?

Even if we find some leftover files on some other 'final' RE4 beta, that might be as good as we get. Not to say that another one of those will show up either, but that could give us something. Farfetched, but bleh

The only build of 3.5 that probably has any (very slim) chance of ever seeing the light of day would be the small build that was used to make the footage that came with some versions of RE4 as a bonus. But it's only a few rooms and such according to the map found on a beta/trial disc, so it's unlikely to really be as impressive compared to the amount of completion of 1.5. But it would still be a very interesting thing to get a hold of. I wouldn't mind giving it a spin.
I find these days that most people who don't believe something has any chance of seeing the light of day has no real clue about the world of betas/prototypes. Yeah, there are things that never do surface, but there's also been many things that everyone would have, or did, say didn't exist or would never surface that have over the years. The couple of years prior to 2007, many people were saying that 1.5 probably didn't exist anymore and that it would never surface. While, yes, we didn't manage to get it when the chance arose, we almost did which would have made those people wrong. And now it is known that there are copies out there and it's potentially just a matter of time before an owner will drop it on the table again for a reasonable price.

3.5 is like a legendary item, 1.5 is an artifact.
Well I would love to play the original 3.5's but 1.5 has been on my list for so long and is too much like the old RE games I loved so I'd prefer it. But pretty much I'd love to have both, and all the scrapped data/info on RE1, 2, and 0.

I'd sell someone else into slavery for either, to be honest, but I prefer 1.5. Simply because it's more complete, possibly from start to finish (with the obvious glitches and such). 3.5 wasn't nearly as complete.

Is it rare to find people that would rather 3.5 become available than 1.5?
I can't choose which i'd prefer to be honest.

There's some hope to play in future with Resident Evil 3.5?
Some contact with original delevopers from Production Studio 4?
Hiroshi Shibata?Last edited by killer7ITA; 03-31-2011, 03:28 PM.
