We've also been told that Sherry Birkin (the young girl who assisted Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2) will play a role in Resident Evil 5. Since the game takes place 10 years after Resident Evil 2, that puts Birkin at about 22yrs. Old – the perfect age for killing zombies.

I think it will be early 2009 to be honest. That strategy worked well for Resident Evil 4 and DMC4, cant see why they would shift gears this time. It gets the title more exposure since its not competing with all the big holiday titles.
