RE2 Remake. What would you want?

I agree with Enrico, keep original camera but have a bonus "Over the shoulder" mode. That mode has it's own elements of fright, mostly not being able to see behind you.

Honestly though, because 2+3 take place at literally exactly the same time, I would like to see a REmake of 2 and 3 together. Like you start out as Jill, and as the storyline progresses you get to Leon and Claire, and finish off with Jill again.

So you'd play as Jill until she got knocked out, then take over as Leon/Claire? Interesting. I suppose you could go even futher and add the Outbreak Scenarios and have a Raccoon City Disaster game.

Like have the Outbreak scenarios as bonus unlockables.

Or have them all strung together in chronological order.

But capcom would have to remake all the content. I don't want another copy-paste game.

I had a strange dream last night about a re2 remake Leon and Claire where running up and down a flight of stairs in a hotel Claire was wearing the coat she gave Sherry but it was bright pink instead of the red colour Leon didn't feature much in the dream but Claire found Chief Irons who walked about with a hunched back my dream ended soon after that, it was weird in the fact they where all in a hotel similar to Die Hard Vendetta.

Did the Outbreak scenario in the RPD take place before resident evil 3?

Isn't Marvin in desperate times? the police officer who's waiting around in the room just before the Hunter?

Yes in that scenario we see what happened to a couple of the RPD officers and find out how Marvin was attacked in the first place

Marvin is injured in the final battle, and in the ending cinematic he limps off to the West wing of the building, where Jill finds him unconscious in RE3

Thought it was, they did a pretty good job of refurbishing the police station so quickly before Jill arrived eh?

It's hard to say but I'd say it's set before cos there isn't the deployment of Nemesis.
The ape in the intro to desperate times wasn't an enemy :-( I wanted the lion outside Iron's room to come alive in re2 also.

Well I've grown to like the original remake so I wouldn't mind a remake of RE2 that had a similar style. No need to keep it exactly the same, that wouldn't work very well as the gameplay might be a bit dated.

For me there isn't much that has to get better.
The game was great as it is. But here are the things
I think could be better:

- Claire's Scenario should be more different from Leon's
- Mr X should appear like Nemesis does in 3
- Leon/Claire shall get some informations about Jill being in the city or Nemesis
- Some more survivors would be interesting remember Leon's conversation with
Claire? "Let's split up, look for any survivors and get out of here!"
But which survivors? There was nobody but Branagh, The guy Ada was searching for,
This Seller in the store at the beginning and William's Wife.
- Maybe a new boss which you have to fight TOGETHER with Claire (if you play with Leon) or with Jill (if you play with Claire)
Claire with Jill is good cause she's searching for her brother and Jill knows him best!

I don't think it would be dramatic enough if Mr X's entrance was like the Nemesis'.

One of the things that made Nemesis' intro dramatic was his huge roar and "S.T.A.R.S.", but Mr. X is just as silent as a wall... He doesn't even grunt or anything when shot.

Jill would tell Claire, Chris has gone to Europe. Could still be an interesting team-up, though.

* I'd love it if in either Claire's or Leon's scenario, Kendo tryed to escape to the R.P.D. with you but he dies at a point where a cutscene is triggered and he trys to kill a pack of Zombie dogs but gets eaten. This is where you grab the Crossbow/Shotgun and leave.

* I think it would be interesting to find out if Mr. X could actually tackle a Gorilla. I mean, clearly it's only a small thing, but we've never really known if he's really THAT strong. He could only be stronger than human beings...

He'd fight a Zombiefied Gorilla that escaped from the Zoo.
