The question ultimately is "when?". When was Annette to be infected? If she took the G-Virus into her self to seek vengance for William against Ada/Leon then how would have her reaction been to Sherry? William lost most of his memory by the time RE2 started, but Annette (depending on when she was infected) would more than likely have alot more of her memory and would therfore not act as animalistic in the way William did and thus would have been the first female Tyrant as well as the first Intelligent Tyrant... Something which was later picked up in RE:Code Veronica and then in RE:GS4.
Heh, if only Sherry would have seen both her parents as mutated freaks... Talk about psychological / emotional scarring and repressed memories later on! But I guess getting orally violated by your father as a mutagenic BOW and then seeing your mother die and then almost die yourself from the seed your dad implanted in you and then have your dad turn into a giant blob and sprout tentacles and try to kill you on a fast moving train with a bomb on board and then having the only person you are emotionally attached to just leave you to complete her incestuous quest to locate her brother would probably not leave your normal 12 year old damaged at all, amirite?Comment

I personally wish this was implemented, I mean don't get me wrong, RE2 is amazing as it us now, but am I the only one who'd think it'd look freaking awesome seeing husband and wife just maul a bunch of HUNK's men or both eventually fighting each other.Comment

Yeah, that's what concept art pretty much is. Quick sketches and a trial and error drawing. The only time they actually draw something more detailed is when they've actually decided to use it.
