What happened to Carlos?

Carlos is one of my two favorite characters from the RE series (I play him on the internets lol!!1). Of course, they all kick major ass and I adore them all, but yes. Carlos showed a lot of potential for more, not somuch his past and what we grasped of it, but more how his joining Umbrella was a situation where he didn't know what the hell was coming to him. And when he did face it first-hand, it opened up a lot of possibilities in joining the "fight against Umbrella" - outright leaving or somehow digging deeper through that connection. His position in the UBCS is something I think could have been fun to do something more with.

In short though, I'd too love to know what happened to Carlos. What with the occasional extras and reports we get from RE in all of its different digital and book forms I think something that mentions him (and all of the others like him mentioned in this post). And when I say I'd be happy with anything, that includes closure of a simple "oh Carlos said screw this crap and went home."

Honestly, I don't think then guy has the build or the seriousness to be Barry. He's too flabby and everyone knows him as Al. There are a lot of better choices out there. Including the guy who played Barry in the first game.

Barry is supposed to be older, but since he's been involved in law enforcement special assignment units for most of his life, I seriously doubt that he should be played by a smilin' dough boy.

The only thing that "Home Improvement" guy has in common with Barry is a beard.

Since we're doing bad casting, I have an idea! I know that they already had that one dude play "Carlos" in the epically horrible RE live action films, but if they reboot, they should have this guy play him during the next go round...since, just like Carlos, he is latino and gay!

Oh come on he even he could easy do Barry's cheesy one liner's his whole persona fits perfect you can't tell me Barry wouldn't be a woodsman / carpenter if he wasn't in the Army, S.W.A.T. or S.T.A.R.S. it's probably what he was working as when he returned to his family after re3.

I know that Claire is in the new movie but have a funny feeling that she will take a back seat to Leon. i feel they are two soild characters and hope they return in a game. I see what you mean. I, too, fear that Claire will take a back seat to super-suave-ninja-agent-man Leon in "Degeneration."

I'd like to see Barry again as well. But Barry was in "Gaiden" and RE3 (albeit a brief cameo).

As for my previous sentiment - I feel it is about time that Chris is featured in his own game. As the series' main protagonist, he's been seen less than Jill, Leon, or Claire (IMO).

I have no problem with female lead characters, but if you think about it - the majority of gamers playing a series like RE are males. And they are more likely to identify with a hero instead of a heroine.

Especially since the tremendously awful (yet surprisingly fun) RE4 captured so many teenage males for the RE audience.

There was no translation error. The report is in two pieces, one by Nicholai (about Nemesis, the clock tower and such) and the other is from an Umbrella research team about various B.O.W's.

Other than that 24 hour lapse, we follow Jill for the whole game. We see everything that happened.
And after? We'll there is no evidence for or against, so your comment about there being more then meets the eye is equally as valid as BLSR1 saying they had lots and lots of babies. Besides, doesn't saying "There's more than meets the eye" actually suggest a sexual relation between the two, which is also what BLSR1 said. Fighting in heated agreement?

And face it. The odds of Carlos coming back are tiny. His relationship to Jill has no real bearing on the story, so I doubt it's worth resurrecting.
The only reason I say that the odds are tiny, and not zero, is that they DID make a new Carlos model for Umbrella Chronicles. And we know how Capcom like to flog that horse...
