But Nicholai wasn't being hunted down by Nemesis. Nemesis was programmed to eliminate S.T.A.R.S members, and was chasing her. Nicholai had less firepower, but he didn't have that to deal with.Originally posted by Mr. Spencer View PostJill had a whole manner of weapons during Raccoon City, Nicholai only had a pistol and a knife - and NPC powers.
Besides, you can't really say Jill had X amount of weaponry, it depends what mode you play it on and what unlockables you have.

Completely forgot about him!Originally posted by Mr. Spencer View PostJill had a whole manner of weapons during Raccoon City, Nicholai only had a pistol and a knife - and NPC powers.
Gameplay elements do not count. She started with a STARS Beretta and a dagger. But NPC powers is right.
Ive picked up from here and there, that hes a former Spetsnaz? Can that info be validated?
Similar backgrounds aswell then, inflitration, counter insurgency, sabotage and even assassinations but I put Delta higher at CQB (while SpN higher at others) and I consider it more important when it comes to pure combat skill (engaging and killing the enemy).Last edited by Member_of_STARS; 11-29-2008, 09:31 AM.

But he was being hunted down by everything else in the city - Zombies, Hunters, Drain Deimos, Brain Suckers, etc. That's why Jill had the extra firepower, so she could stop Nemesis. It also gave her an edge over the other enemies, which Nicholai only had his pistol and knife to deal with.Originally posted by AlexiaAshford View PostBut Nicholai wasn't being hunted down by Nemesis. The most skilled characters, I'd say, are HUNK and Wesker.
But, there must be one or more B.O.W's that could be considered "most skilled" for their kind.
For this, I'd say:
Chimera, in the scence that whoever looks at it, gets crippled mentally or confused or something along those lines due to "the way it looks". You'll have to check the Archives for more on this.
Second, Nemesis. Considering he isn't smart whatsoever, for a bioweapon, he knows who to operate firepower. And knowing that he's smart enough to operate a rocket launcher, he should surely be able to operate other large firearms, such as mini-guns, grenade launchers, and such. He also is able to leap insane distances judging by his intro.
Third: Super Tyrant/Mutated William.
Mainly for the same reasons: Speed, stamina, strength. Mutated William is probably better though according to the Archives. "everybody associated with G are now dead"
That should tell you something about how skilled William is at mauling victims.

Yup, I also wouldnt compare the enemies Jill and Nicholai faced, especially when Jill had the "magic gun" to kill Nemesis and finished him off with none other than a stupid Magnum, all while getting infected in the process. Not undermining. Just saying that both of these hardasses got through. With similar weapons, I might add.Originally posted by Mr. Spencer View PostBut he was being hunted down by everything else in the city - Zombies, Hunters, Drain Deimos, Brain Suckers, etc. That's why Jill had the extra firepower, so she could stop Nemesis. The whole M4A1, shotguns, pistols and whatelse, I wouldnt really count that in. Normal difficulty, she started with a dagger and a handgun, which she is seen on pretty much every picture and cutscene.

Even so, Jill was being chased by those as well. You could debate Nicholai had an edge over her because what he was lacking in firepower, he carried in loads of health items. The fact she was able to stop Nemesis single handedly shows she is one of the most experienced characters there. Besides, you could choose to play through RE3 with just a pistol and a knife. What weapons she uses falls solely on the player, which is why it's difficult to debate in the first place.Originally posted by Mr. Spencer View PostBut he was being hunted down by everything else in the city - Zombies, Hunters, Drain Deimos, Brain Suckers, etc. That's why Jill had the extra firepower, so she could stop Nemesis. Please tell me that was some kinda joke and I don't have to pimp slap you with an infraction for insulting another member.Originally posted by AlexiaAshford View Post[COLOR="Plum"]tiz calld paracelsus sword omfgz vass u r epic newb lulz soisoisoi
He's also talking about the Magnum you use to finish off the weakened Nemesis in his last form. You grab a magnum and blast him if you choose to finish him off after the rail gun hits.

She'll give Nemesis STARS.
Honestly, could they just have had her say "I'll make you see STARS". Or something?
Hell, that line has duel meaning:
A) It's a pun kinda thing
B) It could be literal ie. she's killing ti so it will see the STARS members it killed. Well the one STARS member it killed.
But the original line made no sense.Last edited by Becky's Butt; 11-29-2008, 09:48 AM.

Inside joke. She knows me and I know her, inside out. Making fun of interweb tard-talk and using jokes from "Arby and the Chief" is always healthy.Originally posted by Darkmoon View PostPlease tell me that was some kinda joke and I don't have to pimp slap you with an infraction for insulting another member.

Yeah, inside joke. If it makes you feel good to give me an infraction though, why not
.
The Magnum wasn't a "magic gun", though. He was referring to the Paracelsus sword, indicating it wasn't particularly skill that helped to finish off Nemesis. It is though, because I wouldn't be able to make unfamiliar hi-tech weaponry work while I have a monster spitting acid at me.
Edit: For Darkmoon, learn the ultimate lulz of Arby and The Chief Tardspeak.

I agree with Alexia, Jill might be the most skilled female in the RE series. You can't compare a woman with a man..Originally posted by Mr. Spencer View PostBut he was being hunted down by everything else in the city - Zombies, Hunters, Drain Deimos, Brain Suckers, etc. That's why Jill had the extra firepower, so she could stop Nemesis. Also, Jill survived and fought all those enemies you mentioned up there, Nicholai might have survived all those things, but I doubt he have fought Nemesis a lot of times like Jill did.
