RE Movies - What would your own movie be like?

Well, here's how it would go down:

-Chuck Norris would roundhouse Nemesis to the face so hard that Nemesis would indeed be seeing STARS.
-Rambo would have a helicopter fight with Nicholai, and would do what he does best: Kill Russians
-Mr. T is gonna come in and duke it out with Mr. X, "I don't hate Mr. X, but I pity the fool!"
-The Terminator is gonna go up against the Tyrant, T-101 vs. T-002
-And then Eminem is gonna face off against the Prototyrant, and we'd find out whose middle finger is more powerful

Ive just finished watching Degeneration (i am going to buy it) and ive gotta say...what a brill movie!
the graphics needed a bit of work (i thought Claires was good though) but the story in my opinion was great. I was happy to see leon again in it : D great character.
(for Leon haters - He's more toned down for this movie, i dunno if that would make a difference to you though.)

Now Now, you cant tell me youve never done anything like that, watched a video on youtube with out buying the dvd or game or even downloaed music with out the CD, everyone has done it, the thing is..i HAVE bought the CD's ive downloaded music off, i HAVE bought the dvds ive watched (Degen is out this month correct?). I support the music and movie buissness.
So i think its a bit unfair a mere fan (not a member of capom) who cant tell me they have never done it before, has given me an infringement, ill tell you what, ill bet nearly everyone here has broken copy right infringement before, why not infringe them?
now, if capcom had done it id understand, but the difference is they didnt take degen off youtube, and metallica let their album be leaked because they accept its the way the world is.

To add DARK BIOHAZARD is copyright infringment, yet your all praising him, not telling him to stop.
im not trying to argue or anything, i just wanted to have my say, after all, i gave away no plot details on the movie or anything (unlike the podcast) i just said its good

It's meant to be that way. Anderson wasn't trying to be like the games, which is good. I love the movies. I wouldn't change them. Except Degeneration. I would cut Leon's hair and try and get someone else besides Capcom to do the animation so it looks more photorealistic, like Advent Children. And Claire's upper lip is just ugly in the movie. D: Other than that, though, they're pretty perfect to me.

Well, he liked them, and I liked them. So obviously not NOBODY. And if all he did was covered the game storylines then it would be boring, same ol' thing that we've seen, only live action. Where's the fun in that.

This is crazy. First off, I too hate the movies with a passion but I agree with Biohazard EX that the concept was good. I don't think the movies would have been good if they were copies of the games because they wouldn't live up to our expectations. Every little detail in the movie would probably piss you off because they're messing with the game you love. I'm just glad they stuck to a totally different universe so that it's not so personal.

I've been pretty harsh on Paul Anderson in the past and I still hate the movies he's made but I've sort of come to realize that the concept of making a movie based on a different story than the game wasn't such a bad idea. Plus I don't get as upset as I used to because weither you liked the movies or not, it's too late.

You want my honest answer? Yeah, I did illegal stuff before. When I was a kid. I also stole from shops and such. Now I don't download anything illegal, ever. I have patience, now, and simply wait until it either comes out or I have some spare cash. I'm not a thief anymore and don't steal anything. And regardless of what you believe piracy is theft, whether you buy the thing or not. Going back later and paying doesn't erase the crime.

Dot decided you needed a warning, hence why your ban has been overturned. But piracy is illegal and not tolerated here. Not only will it get you into trouble, but it can get THIA into trouble as well if things get out of hand. You wanna be selfish and download crap? Fine. Leave THIA out of it though.

Those are the rules here. Accept them or leave, now. I've had a very bad day and no tolerance, at all, for any kind of stupidity.

Which brings me to this sudden idea that a mod is illegal. It's not. Welcome to Fair Use. As long as it's not sold, nor does it copy another game, it's perfectly legal. Ever read a comic called 8-Bit Theatre? I notice the complete lack of Square stomping Brian Celevenger, the man who runs it, despite the fact he essentially makes a living using resources from old Final Fantasy games. Nor do they run around taking out AMV's and fanfiction. Yet Capcom will stomp whoever released Degeneration if they find him.

Since Dominion's game is using a game engine that might not even be copyrighted anymore for a non-profit game which still requires a legally bought copy of the game itself then it's still legal. And, allow me to point out, you still have to pay Capcom money by buying RE2 PC before you can play it. Unlike download and watching Degeneration where, whether you buy it or not, you don't have to pay Capcom before you do it.

you cant really have them as carbon copies reason were already stated before, but the movies were not that bad anyway, they were still entertaining were they not, in that mindless action sort of way.

I think that's my big issue with the movies. I can't just turn my mind off and enjoy them as simple action movies, which to be fair I wouldn't watch if they didn't have RE in the title. I guess I expected some things from an RE movie, the least of which was horror, and when I was disapointed I realized just how little I enjoyed anything about them.

To be fair, though, I'm not a fan of mindless action movies. About as close as I get is Predetor. But that's why I can't stand them.

On the other hand, I gotta agree, a direct game to movie won't work. There are too many things you'd need to cut out, such as herbs and puzzles.

One thing I would love to have seen, and honestly can't remember seeing in any of the movies, is something like the door opening sequences in the games. Just once, because it would get annoying done too much. But I don't remember the movie ever doing that.
