I'm sure there are early builds that have more variations and such, but the only thing I'm aware of that is close to a beta is some near-final version that has only a few small changes, not sure what they are.

what is the Playstation Museum incident?

i need to research this RE 1.5 more, looks interesting, i saw some videos on youtube before but don't know much about it.

Without going into a huge ammount of detail....essentially a monkey managed to get hold of and play some 1.5 at about the same time someone was auctioning off a copy. At first it looked like he bought it, and was acting exceptionally prickish, but Dot later said the Curator didn't actually have a copy. Who exactly does, and how Curator got to play and record so much new 1.5 stuff, is still a bit of a mystery.

On the plus side...we know copies become available for sail and even though it was this time last year and everyone was broke from Chrismas shopping the community managed to raise something like five grand in our attempt to buy it. Which would have worked if the guy hadn't offered it to someone else for a stupidly small sum first, who took ages to take him up on the offer and the guy felt obligated to take the much smaller sum of money.

I saw some videos on youtube and i have to say that i am impressed. I don't question RE's 2 superiority but i would like to play 1.5 someday.

Does anyone have any RE 1.5 music samples? the music sounds awesome.

I don't question if it is better, but it sounds awesome, and to think they'd scrap the whole thing at 80% then lying about its progess percentage.
I suggest you watch the Playstation Museum video and all the videos on YouTube.

i just looked playstation museum up on youtube.

RE 1.5 looks awesome, i love the music, and i love the way Elza holds her pistol while she runs, but i liked the backgrounds in RE2 better, but it looks like RE 1.5 is more horror focused than RE2 is, which is good, i want to pay it.
