Pre-Game Rituals?

As some of the others here said, I'm totally going to be playing solo on my first round. I like to play at my own pace, and I prefer to experience it alone so I absorb all the awesomeness.

At any rate, I chose to pre-order with Amazon, so I'll be spending a few days going out of my mind before my copy actually arrives! I chose one-day shipping, but since the game comes out on Friday, and Amazon doesn't do the one-day shipping on Saturdays, I'll sadly have to wait until MONDAY to play. BAWWWW. But, I'm fine with that. I waited with RE4 and Outbreak, too, so I can handle this wait, too. Plus, for me, it adds to the anticipation.

I highly recommend you avoid the Internet that weekend, ha ha.

I prefer to pre-order the game, then just stare at it for 30-minutes...in all it's glory, savoring it. Oh I gotcha now. After that, I like to down half a bottle of yellow-tail to set the mood. Than, if you got the limited-edition, you can play around with the action figure, or if you're obsessed with the Resident Evil figures you can place it on your shelf with the army of other ones like me, then give it a little wink knowing that it will soon be joined by the others in the series.
Than I'm gonna take the necklace, and wonder for a second what I'm going to do with it, who knows, maybe I'll wear it the first night for good luck. Dim the lights down low,oohhh yea.

I have been playing RE4 a lot to get the feeling back of playing RE that way.

And I preordered mine from gamestop, so i will get the game after school on Friday the 13th.

My ritual is....
-Get the game (hopefuly the limited edition)
-Get comftable with a stash of food and milkshakes
-Stare at the box in awe as the game installs
-Turn lights out, crank up the sourround sound
-Play about....and hour or so of the game so i dont end up completeing it in one day
There we go!
Rosetta Mist - I'm gonna play through it on single mode first, or play through it with my bro. Then i will do an online co-op.

Well, my true "ritual" to playing an awesome game, pretty much started once I got my new HD-TV, other than the previous stuff I done in the past. With my new home suround sound coming in, in preperation for games like Kill Zone 2 and Resident Evil 5, I'll going to do the following:

Kill Zone 2: (I'll be having a friend come round with me since he loves the whole concept of the game, and completing the first one too)

1: Have my room all set up and ready, with the lighting set up.

2: Have the junk food/drink ready to last for the rest of the night/morning.

3: Play the game in the ultimate experiance it can give.

That's going to be pretty much what I'll do with Resident Evil 5 too, with me and Emma playing the game on hard first-run online
