Anyway, I am cool with the idea of wrapping up the Umbrella/characters so far storyline as long as it's done tastefully and makes me scream to death and love it along the way. But I don't think that means no more of the old characters ever for potential future RE titles. They could just mean something along the lines of their specific stories with Umbrella and Wesker - this string of viruses being over, not them never showing up again.

It seems clear that Umbrella is going out, as are it's works. The T-Virus is no such a threat with the creation of a vaccine (as seen in Degeneration) and the T-Veronica virus takes too long for anyone to wanna use except to create uncontrollable monsters that look sad and emo. And as for the G-Virus...that will come back to haunt you if you let that out.

But the threat continues. Plagas are certainly gonna still be around, as are the versions with various unpleasant viruses added to them. And I'm sure other, newer and more unpleasant gribblies will show up as well. Just because old characters fought the T-Virus doesn't mean they can't deal with the new outbreaks as well.

So yeah, this will most likely wrap up Umbrella, Wesker and Chris. Exactly how well and how much though...eh.

That was just Steve . It's never really been stated what the infection rate of the T-Veronica virus is, because the only times we've seen it, it's been used via. direct injection. The raw form can make monsters whose brain and body flesh are severely degraded, possibly emitting poison for which there is no cure (Alexia made the only known serum, which Claire used), and there is no known cure for the virus. It could be extremely dangerous.

I'm interested in seeing how they're going to end all the Umbrella stuff. I can't see them completely getting rid of the Viruses and BOWs though, so I assume TriCell are going to pick up where Umbrella left off.

I'm not sure whether I want Wesker to die or to survive. I love his character, but it all seems very climactic in terms of scale for Chris and Wesker. I don't think Capcom can keep drawing out all the hate between them for much longer.

If Wesker does die though, I want Excella to replace him in terms of Human Big Bad for the series. The last time we had a female villain we had Alexia and I loved her, so if Excella follows in her foot steps I'll be happy.

Actually, disregard what I said above. I want TriCell to become the big, new ominous force behind everything. If Wesker dies, it's likely that we'll get some sort of sequal hook with Excella obtaining the data and virus samples and the such for TriCell.

If RE5 does wrap things up in terms of Umbrella and Wesker, where does this leave Chris?

Yeah, but given it's apparent G-like properties (even if they're speculation on the BSAA's part) it's not gonna that smart an option. I mean, yes, you could use it as a terrorism tool but I'm guessing it's infection rate is pretty poor compared to the T-Virus.

Heck, we've seen no indication it can be transfered through a bite or wound the same as the T can. That might be the ebola background of the T-Virus rather than the whole zombie mutant thing. The G-Virus certainly doesn't seem as capable of infecting others as the T was. And a single monster, while nasty, is not gonna cut it.

Plus if you want the whole renegade monster thing the G-Virus is a better bet. Uncontrollable, sure, and it'll mutate hideously...but compare Steve or Nosferatu to a G-monster for raw damage absorbed and general level of danger and the G is pretty obviously the nastier, even without that very unpleasant poison. And if you're looking to unleash hell you aren't too worried about the G mutating.

When everyone say there's not that meny Viruses left to be used in the series what about the NE-T virus that created the NE-α Parasite there's still not enough we doint know about them the NE-T virus and the NE-α Parasite could be in the next game. And there's still 2 Nemesis models that have not been use in the series yet.
