What is the best tactic against the Lickers? now I'm on chapter 5-3 and I haven't played since a few days for personal problems, I want to ask you what the best tactic to defeat these enemies (Lickers).

Chapter: 5-3 (it's the area where you have to climb a lift alone and next coming flocks Lickers.

I always used the shotgun against it. I think the magnum works well against them too.

if it's the part with mass lickers, just get some nades and start throwin.

I just run it, my partner kills the lickers, I drop the box and we just leg it to the exit.

And yes, grenades or shotgun. Good idea to keep them off of the walls so they can't reach Sheva when she's pushing the crates.

When they get up on their rear legs, shoot them in the heart. They will fall back over, and squirm on the ground. Run up to the and press the contextual button = dead licker.

Works great 1v1. Against 5, not so much.

Using electric rounds with the grenade launcher is very fun. If you shoot it into a crowd of enemies(even Lickers), a giant bolt of lightning will form in the middle of all of them, and do a good amount of damage. Still, the best grenades are of the hydrogen variety, for obvious reasons.

I tend to stick with a Rifle (that I've upped some in terms on firepower) and pick them off at a distance. If they get close I either stick with the rifle, or switch to something like the shotgun.

Shooting them in the head with a rifle will make them twitch a little, exposing their heart. Shoot them in the heart and you'll be able to buy yourself some extra time.
