So I just saw the new trailer... And I think my faith has returned slightly to Leon. When I first saw Paul Mercier was Leon again, I thought "Damnit." And then I heard some of his dialogue in the trailer and I was ecstatic by what I heard.

Our favorite cop is back. He sound surprised at points, angry, apprehensive, confused... it's like all the emotion he lacked in his previous two outings has rushed back to him. And that was all in what, three minutes? And in those three minutes... not a single one-liner. That's a record for him as of late. Even "Something tells me he's not gonna listen to reason!!" reminds me of that bumbling police officer from the original.

I can't wait. On top of Paul not sounding like a complete douche, Alyson and Sally are back! And they're aiming for more horror this time. That shaky camera looks great. Moments like tripping over a Licker after it suddenly drops into your sprint path look to be intense and scary... Preordering this game for sure.

I don't really understand this line of thinking, unless it's just that you don't like his performance. He's not responsible for the dialogue. He doesn't write the lines. Blame the scriptwriters, not the voice actor.

I must say I'm pretty hyped for this game after seeing the new trailer and pics. I wonder if there will be a narrarator. I'm still excited to see Wesker in CV.

I'm thinking Ada would take the role in narration this time around, as it seems like with Wesker, she is also a background manipulator, connecting seemingly unrelated characters and events together.

This game actually has me pretty pumped. I stopped caring about UC after I learned it was on-rails, but this being RE2 (and even moreso after seeing the trailer) has me pretty excited to play it. My only problem being Claire's outfit. It just doesn't look right without the pink shorts.

It's not game-ruining and it has no actual effect on me other than I dislike it. It's just, really ugly. Like say, giving Ada a yellow belt in RE4. Distractingly ugly.

Speaking of big character changes, Leon seems pretty okay in this game. Hoefully Capcom keeps him that way. He used to be my favorite character. Now Claire is all I have left.

Yeah. That sold me. Paul Mercier gained some of my respect in those two and a half minutes. No one-liners, and like I said before, all the emotion in his voice. I even heard fear. Which is incredible, but it happened.

Yeah, I know, but he could've put emotion into them. He himself is a good VA, but he didn't have a lot of strength in his performance. I heard some good stuff in the trailer.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I mean, I know it's all about opinion, but I Paul is a good actor. He preforms very well, and as an actor, he's molded into what Capcom has made Leon, which, while unfortunate, it is still not the VA's fault. I'm glad he's continuing to voice Leon, because while Capcom may write Leon poorly, he has a good VA.

I'd actually really like this, especially if it led into something involving RE6. Yes... I like that idea a lot.

I'm hoping that's what they're going for. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I think UC was more or less about Chris, Jill and Wesker, and in turn I think DSC will be equally, about Leon, Claire and Ada.

yha thats what i was thinking also, but im hoping that it will be more based on Ada than any of them but i highly doubt it.
