yes but you have to run the program in compadibility mode for windows 95. so just open the contents of the disc and find the resident evil program and right click the file and go to preferences. find the option to run compadibility and check it and choose windows 95. this can also be done to the setup filesOriginally posted by belmont1997 View PostIs it true that it can only run on windows 95?

No, it will run on any Windows available, but 90% of the time, you'll get really bad results. The game will run too fast (eg. the protagonist moves like they're on steriods), and you'll face a constant crash in the dining room scene when playing with Jill which can only be resolved through a method which makes you lose two full Beretta clips.
Not a good choice. Get the PS1/Saturn/whatever version if possible.

MarkGrass has apparently created a patch or something that you can apply to the Japanese version of BH1 for PC that will fix all the issues. It doesn't work for the english version though, and I don't know if or when a patch will be made. I'm not sure if Mark is working on it atm or if he plans to.sigpic
