It's all about the clothes, baby.

This isn't a 'what is your favourite costume?’ poll or anything, just general discussion of the clothing throughout the series.

I want to start off talking about the reinvention of Claire's classic RE2 outfit for Darkside Chronicles. What is up with this? The slightly cowgirl-like look is... Odd. Ok, sure. It DOES look cute on her. What doesn't look cute on Claire? Problem is, Claire isn't a cowgirl, she's more of a biker chick and the old outfit rang true to that.

I'm probably being biased here, but if you can remember the cowgirl boots craze and the denim short shorts thing, then you can probably imagine why I find this slight change annoying at best, especially when stupid Leon and Steve appear to have pretty much the same outfits as they did in the original games.

Your thoughts on the above and anything else, please. ^^

I didn't notice the difference at first until you pointed it out. I guess they wanna show more skin, like they did with Jill, capcom just wanna whore them out.

But her new costume looks fine anyway.


I hope Jill will get to wear a dress like in my avatar someday.

its funny because half of claire's new clothing is just rebecca's cowgirl outfit from remake just modified , on the subject of clothing i've always wanted a stars uniform >.<, i love the vests with the logo on the back and the shirts with the insignia on them, plus all the other things and i was gonna cosplay as forest at a zombiewalk last year but that fell through was looking forward too it too ah well and i think imo that the stars outfits are a tenfold better then the so called bsaa stuff in 5.

They are neato. I need to make one at some point, I've got so many Umbrella uniforms. ^^;

Got to love the idea of Umbrella clothing, though. The Umbrella symbol is awesome. It's got that modern evil look to. It's ever so slightly clean and antispetic looking in the way it makes me think of labs and hospitals. Pretty nifty. I've got some pictures of me in Umbrella uniforms in my album. Should get around to posting my UBCS one soon.

I'm on board with you there. I mean, I've already stated my opinion on her "new" outfit many times and I'm just going to end up repeating myself, but I'm still a bit boggled by their decision to revamp her outfit and no one else's. Seems so pointless. On that blog entry, the guy claimed the outfit was "nearly 10 years-old" (thus alluding it to be outdated), and I really disagree. There's nothing outdated about Claire's original costume in RE2, at least in my opinion!

I always thought Elza's clothing seemed more appropriate than Claires, being biker enthusiasts - though it's no secret I love the Made in Heaven logo.

Looking to buy one of these N-3B jackets, but they're very rare, and expensive when they're listed. I also believe there were replica's of Chris' Biohazard 1 alternate costume made, but I'm looking for more info on those.



SOME of the clothes I have I've posted here. I've actually got a whole lot more official Japanese Biohazard clothes - some of which I wear. I'll have to take pics of more soon.
Just a quick count there are at least 16 more shirts. I've got the Leon replica shirt, and pants and pouches too - as well as the fragrance.

I don't think Jill and Leon's RPD uniforms looked all that functional, compared to the others. Oh well. I think that if Capcom shouldn't really change the clothing much - since RE2 was set in 1998. Contemporary fashions would ruin this (although granted there isn't a whole lot different between 1998 and 2009). Capcom have made anachronisms like this in the past. Like with Alyssa and Yoko's unique outbreak ending. That lap top looks alot smaller than anything I saw in 1998.

I love how all of Chris's uniforms have green in them somehow. Thats fine by me cause thats my favorite color. Jill's BSAA uniform was cool and glad you see in the mercenaries game.
