I never got a chance to read Caliban Cove & Underworld yet, but I read most of the others:
1) Resident Evil: Umbrella Conspiracy (Felt like the actual game. The best book in the entire series as well)
2) Resident Evil: City of the Dead (Gotta love how they switch back & forth with Leon/Ada & Claire/Sherry.
3) Resident Evil: Zero Hour (A good read. I liked how the leeches were portrayed in the book, and how they basically had a mind of their own.
I'm half-way through Nemesis, and I haven't really started on Code Veronica at this point. I did, however, get a glimpse of what Wesker said to Chris about his "hard on" for Claire, which gave me a chuckle because it doesn't sound anything like Wesker.
Overall, I feel as though the books are solid enough for a nice read.

This just reminds me I need to re-read all of those novels again. I enjoyed them while suspending canon since I know it had a lot of OC in it. Caliban Cove was a little ridic IMO but I remember being a youngin' and going "wooooah look the zombies have guns and can talk and shit!"

1. The Umbrella Conspiracy
2. Nemesis
3. City of the Dead
4. Code Veronica
As far as the rest...meh. Umbrella Conspiracy is one of my favorite books ever, probably because it's based on my favorite game and Perry did a great job of going behind the scenes with the news reports and RPD conversations. I'll never forget the simple scenes like Barry and Joseph making jokes about Chief Irons, Wesker being a dick, etc. Also, Nemesis is amazing...the scenes detailing the mercenaries battle against the zombies was great.Last edited by REmaster; 08-19-2009, 08:06 PM.

I only read Nemesis and Caliban Cove, of which Nemesis I enjoyed much, much more.

Thats a good point actually. When he's in the RPD Perry has him thinking to himself about how he will get the bravos back safe and sound then all of a sudden he changes.

I only own The Umbrella Conspiracy and Nemesis and I think Nemesis is the better of the two.
The one thing that majorly bugged me with TUC was how we were given two or three short extracts from Weskers point of view: one before they went to look for Bravo Team and I think two in the Mansion. And when they reach the Mansion, he suddenly knows whats going on and it's all going to plan and blah blah....so is Perry's version of Wesker some sort of schizophrenic....because it just doesn't make sense and really bugs me.

I like the first few, I like CV because it's terrible enough to find somewhat funny.

Never read any of the books as I'm not a fan of reading fiction, plus I'm lazy but would like to get some of these books for collection reasons and to maybe read.

Yeah her dad got her into it. Steve Perry wrote the first Aliens and AVP novels based off the comics. SD Perry has wriiten a few Aliens novels and a few Star Trek i believe.
But RE has a rich enough universe now to be crying out for novelisation. I'm surprised no one has picked it up. U got the Marcus conpiracy, Trevor, Wesker Reports, plenty of source material for backstory, then you have the games themselves. Definitely lots of potential there.
Even RE Survivor could make a cracking novel with its amnesia plot, child experimentation angle and the whole Tyrant programme compatability thing.

Yeah well clearliy she is no Shakesphere, I was looking on her Wikipedia she has only managed several books. So she isnt an established writer. I belive it was her dad he was. However I still think she managed to write some enjoyable books. I don't read alot but I'd say I read about as much as the average male. I totally agree about the Trent character he really wasn't needed. I'd appreciate any more book's about Resident evil.
