Woo! Just finished the game! I loved it!

was great! Albeit really, (EDIT: REALLY, REAAAALY) ridiculous.

I obtained the bad ending, but I really like it. Someone said that if Spoiler:

died, Spoiler:

death would've been for nothing. That's true.
Though, the bad ending is more emotional. And, it's leaves less of a bad taste in my mouth than if Spoiler:

Manuela was just to have been taken into U.S. custody.

Just my opinion, though.

Well i've beaten the game first time around on hard mode I will say Spoiler:

I really enjoyed the game it was much better to UC there's not alot I can complain about in the game there were acupple of things like RE2 why after the Sewer stage did they go stright to the Labs a whole level has gone down the drain. There could have been aonther sewer stage starting from were you kill the croc up to the lift fight with Birkin 2nd from I mean was it really that hard for Capcom to do but aprt from that the story was pritty much close to the original which was good

But the CV's story was strange there was alot change which I was dissopointed Most of the stages on CV were colse to the original but that was until after chapter 6 I was hopeing after chapter 6 we whould play as Chris for 2 chapter until we meet Claire start on Rockfort Island and meet Claire in Antarctic but that was not to be the case and the other thing that really got me anoyed was Alexia's voice Actress she sounded like a 12 year old infact I think it was the same Actress who voice Rebbeca in UC and I found the whole Alexia killing Alfred to be really shocking senice that never happen in the original and finaling I was really dissopinted with Wesker's appearance it felt like we were given the middle finger by Capcom so yeah I was disopinted with CV it was good but not as good as the original.

As for Javier's chapters well there aint much I can say but it was much better than UC the story was intresting the new BOW looked pritty good the Last Boss was crazy so yeah the whole game was much better than UC I really enjoyed playing the game I give it 88%

I'm pretty sure that was intentional (either that or she was the only character in the entire game with screwed up voice). You can notice that in DSC Alexia sounds and acts like a girl, like she's still in the same age she was before her long sleep.

I was really dissopinted with Wesker's appearance it felt like we were given the middle finger by Capcom

By the logic that Wesker's meagre appearance in this game was a provocation against his fans, the lack of any particular character in any game could be considered an even greater affront against their particular fans. Wesker has had his time. Let it go.

So I just found out you can't copy or move Darkside Chronicles save files, which isn't great as I just got a new Wii. What the fuck, now I have to play through everything again. Ugh, fuck you Capcom/Cavia.

But yeah, I was recording some DSC footage (... Which I won't be able to use for several months because Capcom is watching youtube ) and I figured I might as well put in UC and get some updated footage now that I got a new capture device.

And for no other reason than to procrastinate (my finals start next week...), I figured I'd do a little comparison.

lol, it has to do with games being Wi-Fi capable, blame Nintendo.

I guess it prevents impersonating people online since online profiles
are attached to their save files.

The only way to bypass this, is by soft-modding your Wii.

Interesting comparison, JcFFx. While the areas all look quite similar, the areas in DSC looked to have sharper textures and be much more vibrant. There's more attention to detail in DSC, too, such as in the 10th screenshot where you can see the Raccoon Post Office building clearly as well as the street in front of it (although it looks nothing like it did in RE3).

Oddly enough, UC is darker than Darkside Chronicles...

Although I'm not sure if I changed any of UC's video settings back in the day (probably didn't, since I usually don't mess with them, but yeah)

Those comparisons are great. Thank you for posting them.

I'm partial to way the environments look in Darkside Chronicles, only because the atmosphere felt more familiar than they ever did in Umbrella Chronicles. The lighting is probably the most surprising, though.

I'm trying to shoot the damn crane down on the CV part, where you need to kill Alfred, but I shoot all around it, it won't go down. What do I do, I spray that crane with millions of bullets but it will not go down...any idea why?

You have to shoot the joint that holds the crane up, not the crane itself.
