It is, from my recollection, a transcript of the report seen at the end of RE4, during the results screen. Basically, I want to confirm the August 2004 date, because so far RE4 has been completely undated except "autumn LOL". RE5 goes with August 1 being the "first day of Autumn" as well, so it makes sense, but I need verification. So, anyone got the results screen? I've seen direct-rips floating around before, but I don't have them

Went and ripped it from RE4 myself for you.

Enlarged and sharpened (Wouldn't bother looking at it on full-size, 30 or 50% is easier to read the report).
Original Ripped Size (Slightly enhanced)

The differing on the image is terrible otherwise I'd have attempted to enhance it aside from sharpening it and fixing the colour on it.

Yeah, I would have gotten it from the GC one if I could find my copy of it - as I couldn't nor could I find the textures I ripped from it a while back, I just lazily grabbed my PS2 copy and ripped it and cleaned it a little in Photoshop.

Thank you Albert, hopefully News Bot can work it out from the GC texture.

How exactly do you "direct rip" something from a game, anyway? Do you need some kind of special software to do it?

Can you presume that the 'st' means it occured in August?

It may well be that the date was written Month-Day-Year, in which case it'd be either the 1st, 21st or 31st of any month (except the months that don't have a 31st).

Quite possible, and I'm not reaching conclusions just yet.

What I do find interesting however is that this single file at the end of the game is more interesting than the entire game before it. Haha.
