The dogs were always so scary to me because in comparison to zombies, they were so much faster and easier to miss, making them a bigger threat. The ones in RE4 and 5 stayed the same way, and I'm really happy with that because they still never fail to invoke that fear of "OH CRAP KILL IT BEFORE IT RUNS AT YOU"

she always looked like she belongs in some jap hentai....
RE5's dogs sucked for two reasons: bad AI, and the fact that they arent scary with the damn split heads thing :/Originally posted by SNPAL21 View Posttrue the ones in the 4th one are more creepier, but the ones in the 5th are crazier lol, they will attack run around then attack againsigpic

It's a lot better. But that's not a discussion for this thread...Originally posted by Itashious_boy View Postyou should play RE5 come back and tell me what you think of RE4 after that

Yeah, the dogs in RE5 weren't exactly panic-inducing, seeing as how they never did any insane damage (even in Professional, compared to everything else, it didn't do a lot).

That's like a real dog! I have a boxer called Daisy, and I like to rile her up just for some harmless fun. I've noticed this sequence of events: 1)I make a sudden movement 2) Daisy snaps into action with a "RUFF!!" (the "attack") and then steps back, spins in a circle, and stops once again 3) Repeat action #1Originally posted by SNPAL21 View Posttrue the ones in the 4th one are more creepier, but the ones in the 5th are crazier lol, they will attack run around then attack again
Kind of pointless really, but I never noticed that behavior and made the connection. Interesting on the part of the design team, I appreciate that behavior now.Last edited by GuardhouseMusic; 11-19-2009, 12:28 AM.

Really? I kind of figured it had something to do with political correctness or some other such (apparent) nonsense.
I can only imagine what they must have done to earn such a thing.

On-topic, I agree the RE4 wolves are by far the scariest dogs. I think their sudden appearance at the church was the first legitimate "scare" in the game, matter of fact.A man chooses...a slave obeys.
