How do YOU play Darkside Chronicles?

In terms of control method, how do you play RE: DC?

I tend to fave the Nyko Perfect Shot Gun with the nunchuk, which is in my opinion the best way to play any rail shooter on the Wii, and would recommend to anyone who has the game. I find the Zapper kind of awkward to hold in general, but especially in this game, as you are required to hold the Zapper one-handed (or at least, it is recommeneded because of the 'wave nunchuk' sequences) , thus making it feel strange as most of the weight is at the end it.

So, Zapper, Remote, Remote + Nunchuk or a third party made gun like the Perfect Shot?

Zapper style without the zapper. Perfect for reloading without ruining your aim, and in general it's just more comfortable than using any of the guns I've seen.

I don't have much of a problem with it other than that the handle for the trigger is shaped weirdly so that it presses against my hand too much (and I have small hands to begin with...)

Zapper style with no zapper and the reload sensitivity on high, so I just have to give the nunchuck a tiny flick with my left hand to reload.

I'm a big fan of light gun games but the only ones I have on Wii that I can use my very cool magnum shell, are HOTD 2 & 3 and Overkill. Those games have a calibration screen, so you can adjust the aim to match up with your barrel sight and they don't require you to use any of the buttons on top of the Wiimote (which is very awkward and fiddly when it's in a gun shell).

The Guncon and Guncon 2 for Playstation were designed so much better. All the buttons are easily accessible while still holding and aiming the gun. And ALL light gun games on Playstation had a calibration screen.

Will probably be doing the same if I pick up another gun controller of sort too. (as the back of the zapper is kinda bothering me a bit. I used normal zapper style in UC, with the nunchuck attacked to the back. Same with stuff like Crossbow Training.)

Nope, I do too. Wiimote and Nunchuk here. The Zapper just looks really uncomfortable.

I was thinking about getting a Perfect Shot, though. It looks pretty cool.

WiiMote only. Sometimes I'll attach the nunchuck, like that of UC.

Zapper looks like it'll break my wrist.

Interesting, I kind of do a similar thing where I move the nunchuk towards the bottom of the gun handle to reload, like putting the ammo clip into the gun (like your character does on-screen when you reload), simply because it feels cool

So the Remote + Nunchuk only method is quite popular, then? Interesting, and kind of surprising. While I agree that most of the 'accessories' on the Wii are mostly pointless and simply overpriced plastic, I like using a gun because its just like reliving the arcade shooters, and without it it kind of feels like you're just pointing and clicking at whatever you want to die, for me anyway!

Overkill is a great game! HotD 2 & 3 is also great, especially for the lulz. And are you talking about the official Overkill revolver? If so that revolver looks cool, dunno if I'd get one now though since I've already got 2 Perfect Shots. Overkill is also great for dual-wielding those bad boys
