Of course. Capcom is ALWAYS cancelling Resident Evil games. It really is annoying, especially when the fans actually find the betas and cancelled games a lot more interesting than the retail crap we get.

I bet there is some alternate universe in which the betas ended up being developed to completion and our retail versions got canceled – and I bet that "the fans" are whining equally loud over there.Originally posted by Logical Operand View PostOf course. I cannot link, CU has utter crap for search options and I'll be honest, I'd rather you just didn't believe me than bother to waste what could take hours to search in the ask capcom section which has a stupidly high new thread count on a daily basis. Its not like he said it yesterday so easy to manually find.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

I can even scientifically prove that they'd be bitchin' and moaning like that. If we just go into the archive of posts pre-RE5 launch (or even pre-RE4 launch and even post demo stuff, but we have none of that backed up on THIA, unfortunately), you'll see how people were all OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG about everything they saw and played pre-release, then *bam* final game came out and they were all "OMFG OMFG OMFG" until the ending credits hit ... then they started moaning.Originally posted by Prime Blue View PostI bet there is some alternate universe in which the betas ended up being developed to completion and our retail versions got canceled – and I bet that "the fans" are whining equally loud over there.
Google has a fantastic option that lets you search specific sites by adding "site:*url*" to the search bar (you can also use " " around multiple words to get only hits in that exact order). Should make things considerably easier if you need to find something specific ;DOriginally posted by KylieDog View PostI cannot link, CU has utter crap for search options and I'll be honest, I'd rather you just didn't believe me than bother to waste what could take hours to search in the ask capcom section which has a stupidly high new thread count on a daily basis. Not to mention the "+" "-" system. When combining all of these, you can get virtually ANY result.
ex: site:the-horror.com -"dont include this" +resident +tgs
Using a line like that (It can be tweeked to work better than that example) will almost always find a result -- Especially an old one. Go ahead. Copy and paste what's in bold. You'll see this topic come up in the google results. go on. Don't be shy.
Edit: Apparently, KylieDog really did see something about it being canceled. But according to the same website, the admin said that that was just "Speculation". I found it using GOOGLE, first result. <3
i talked to the admin about this issue.. And he just said that the game being cancelled were just "speculations and assumptions"Last edited by Steve-Ø; 09-17-2010, 05:45 PM.

RE4 saved the series as much as it killed it. Many fans have either:
1) had their interest lessened in the series
2) started disliking, even go as far as to hating, the series
3) simply left Resident Evil
Of course, it also gave RE a new birth on the other side, pulled in new fans to replace lost fans, and set a standard for it's majorly successful sequel.
Now let's just hope RE6 mixes both the gameplay systems, and throws in Crimson Heads as a bonus.

haha no, just no.Originally posted by ElusionM View PostRE4 saved the series as much as it killed it. Many fans have either:

The ammount of people that came over to Resident Evil after RE4 far outweighs the number of people that left after RE4. The two aren't even remotely comparable.
