After being betrayed by Umbrella for failing to kill Leon, the Wolfpack are given another chance but now they aren't exactly friendly with HQ. After catching Leon, Claire, and Sherry you can either spare them to use as bargaining chips or kill Leon. Either way you'll end up fighting with your teammates. Saving Leon is actually a bit easier since you can just run in and melee/execute your former teammates. Leon camps like a pasny bitch and you constantly get swarmed by zombies/crimson heads. For those that like the idea of being ruthless, killing Leon means you get to put a bullet into Claire with poor Sherry trying to hide behind her. Sadly, this is done off camera.

That was mentioned way back when the game was announced and never really explained properly. I really think that they dropped the whole thing and just focused on the multiplayer aspect.
Or it's simply DLC.

I'm just rewatching Apocalypse for the first time since it came out. Man alive it's a travesty - as in proper, proper awful.

But I look at it and see shades of infect ORC, and then I think maybe Anderson is in someway responsible for this shit fest too - specially when I see Nemesis using the minigun and such, I know him using weapons isn't a big deal, but it's the imagery associated with it.

But honestly Apocalypse is a absolute pile of utter shit - how can any franchise fans think it's any good, whatsoever?!

Nope. Events happen and it fades to the credits. I would have rather there been some more cutscenes...just like the random fans of the movies, I never cared about the connections to canon and wanted to see where the noncanon story would go. Maybe its because I also don't expect every game I buy to be earth shatteringly amazing to the point of causing me to go batshit and rage out every time I come onto the forums.

I'm more inclined to blame the multiplayer fascination. Multiplayer seems to be the big new thing, and for some games (Mass Effect 3/Uncharted 2) it actually worked. I'd honestly be more pleased with this game if I didn't beat the entire thing in under 6 hours. When games cater too much to multiplayer, it really makes the rest of the game suck. Again, I never had high hopes for the story in the first place; I wanted a non-canon romp through memory lane. Maybe once the online becomes more active and people I know start getting it, it'll be good fun.

I can understand your viewpoint though. What weapon Nemesis used never bothered me, same with the whole "oh he's like a robot and nowhere near as badass as he used to be!" I don't really read into the deeper workings of the game, but really is it ever explained how something like Neme and Mr. X could be controlled? What happens once their tasks are accomplished? I'm sure someone could explain, but really they shouldn't waste their time (I really don't give a shit. It's a video game character). I also couldn't care less about Neme because he's just like Pyramid Head now; a once fearsome monster that fans drool over now reduced to cameo fodder.

I'm honestly thinking about going to Gamestop Monday and canceling my pre-order after what I've read. This game sounds horrendous (can't say I'm surprised I guess) and makes me just want to wait a few months until it's cheap. I seem to have this little glimmer of hope though, that I might just have some fun with it online with people, but is it worth $60? I dunno. I especially don't really wanna support them for this, but ehh. I'll sleep on it. Anyway thanks for the impressions guys.

I doubt the multiplayer hype will drive the game by the time of a price drop. RE6 presumably is coming in November and that'll be sure to have extra modes and the like for people to co-op in.

Also, does the game even mention events from RE3 so far? Seems like they left it out completely to add as DLC.
