A different kind of prototype (not a game)

That Leon statue doesn't even look like Leon lol. Kind of surprised at the asking prices to be honest... I have to admit though, the prototype Tyrant looks better than the finished product...
Here you can see the other prototypes... Not very interesting, I know, but cool to look at I guess. Lol at Dolph Lundgren Wesker.
Direct links to some (?) of them...

Somehow I actually happen to like the Leon one! But the price is disturbing, prototype or not.Originally posted by geluda View PostThat Leon statue doesn't even look like Leon lol. Kind of surprised at the asking prices to be honest...
I am not the kind of person with the means to spend such large sums on collectors items (although I sometimes wish I were). I might look around for the regular versions of these tough! I don't have any Resident Evil collectibles at all, just the regular games. Perhaps it's time to change this!

I've never said that I do not understand why it's sold for such a price...Originally posted by William Birkin View PostOf course his price i really amazing, but please read all the auction, especially the bottom of the page, i guess you'll understand why his price is like that
It's a one of it's kind item after all...
I am just saying that I am unable to spend such an amount of money on a collectors item.
And let's be honest, there really isn't anything you can do with it apart from watching it gather dust on a shelf or trying to sell it to another collector.
Most people you'd show it to wouldn't even realize what it is worth unless you'd tell them.Last edited by Upaluppa; 04-17-2011, 09:50 AM.

Yes, but that's not the reason i was talking about, not about how rare the item is, but about the son of the seller. It's a one of it's kind item after all...
I agree, those price are really insane, i can't myself pay that even if i'm really fond of prototypes, but when i saw his explainations about the price and what he will do with the money, i can't blame him...
I agree with you, this piece is only for collectors.

Aww, didn't see that the first time I checked the article...Originally posted by William Birkin View PostYes, but that's not the reason i was talking about, not about how rare the item is, but about the son of the seller.
I'm sorry about my last reply, I guess I really did not scroll down to the end of the page.
It's good to see that this guy isn't just selling them for the sake of getting a lot of money!
I don't like how most sellers on ebay are just trying to make a huge cash-in with rare things like these.
There's more in the world than money...Last edited by Upaluppa; 04-17-2011, 11:01 AM.

No problem, i knew you would understand as soon as you read this.
A lot of people say he uses this as an excuse for his price, but i know that's not right, because many years ago he was already selling prototypes, at a very decent price, i got many prototypes for less than 50$. But his son wasn't born yet.... he's really a good guy.
