It's possible. I doubt it, because I've been playing Capcom games waaaay too long and they do love to milk things (which is perfectly reasonable, they want them there shiny pennies) but I do rather feel like they're trying to treat me like an idiot. I still remember the RE5 DLC...remember how there was no plans to release it on disc, until they 'listened to the fans' and changed there mind? And then we got Gold Edition...which, by the way, is the edition you need to buy if you want to use the Kinnect/Move stuff. So for those of you who bought the game on release? Tough, go buy it again.

Yes, I do tend to think the worst of Capcom. I do rather feel there's a difference beween making money and taking advantage of people. And, honestly? I just find it hard to believe that Leon would be left out of a game like this completely, given how popular he is, when Barry and Krauser are in there. I think it's fairly likely that they'll offer him as DLC, and don't like the games they're doing for a PR boost.

Kawata originally commented on Mercs 3D explaining that DLC is likely, but only if the game does well at retail and it becomes a profitable 'new' franchise.

Then he says they got no plans for DLC... but their plan is still to wait and see how the game fares. If it sells, they'll approach Nintendo and ask them about working out a DLC deal. That's what Kawata said back in April.
