In 2004, Japanese comedian and Biohazard fan Shinya Arino, of the Japanese television program Game Center CX (localized in the west as Retro Game Master), interviewed Resident Evil 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi (who also worked on RE1 & RE2 as Player / Enemy Software Engineer, and Scenario Programmer, respectively) on the history of the old Resident Evil games on PSone.
The discussion involved the influence of Sweet Home to the creation of the first game, and Kobayashi shows Arino the original game plan book for Resident Evil 2. Unfortunately, the contrast is quite too bright to make out the pages! However, from I can make out, there appears to be at least one male character model that resembles Leon's original 1.5 design. It'd be nice to know what their saying about it!

On the same episode that featured the Biohazard interview, Arino interviews Mega Man creator and Resident Evil 2 Promotional Producer Keiji Inafune about how how "Sengoku Biohazard" became Onimusha. He also mentions Biohazard 2 and it's prototype in some part. All this between 0:47 and 2:45.

It would be very nice if someone from the community can translate the Kobayashi interview as well as the Sengoku Biohazard segment of the Keiji Inafune interview.
