Finally got my g/f to play Revelations after asking her several times. She doesnt play games at all except for kids games on the DS with her daughter. Soon as she started playing it she was impaitent and wanted to get straight into the action skipped the cutscenes and run storming through the first few doors. Got to the part where theres a broken elevator corridor and told her about the U-Turn by holding back and B. She did this and jumped out of her skin and scared the crap outta me to, turns out it was Parker and she had no idea Jill wasnt alone. When she finally made it to the first Ooze enemy and the cutscene played as the Ooze rises up behind Jill she is shouting at the screen Run! Shoot! Why cant I shoot!! Lol I dont think she is aware of what a cutscene is. What a noob. Cant wait to see her get further into it think she will quit before she gets going.

BTW, I really enjoyed the game. One of the best IMO. It's waaay better than the last few RE games. Tons.

You don't have to scan them all to 100%. You just have to scan each enemy type at least once.

Hey y'all! Have a question; hope someone can help. For the Researcher mission, do I have to scan every type of enemy until it's 100%, as in scanning oozes until until I get a herb, or do I just have to get one full scan in? Thought I'd ask before wasting my time and health. Thanks in advance!

There's twists within twists. You should be fine in that department.

Oh, cool! thanks then, I hope the story is a little more complex than what we got with RE5, I mean... I'm not complaining, but I wish it had had better twists in it

I think Degeneration may be very connected to RE6. Just like Revelations. And Damnation will probably be the sequel of Degen and a prologue to RE6.

Anyway, Revelations is a side story to old games, but it brought all the new story elements for future RE games. They put so much emphasis on all these new characters...

I think it's actually much closer to Degeneration than any one particular game, plot-wise. Certain games in the series may seem decidedly disconnected from the others when it comes to storyline, but at least they're acknowledged and/or referenced by the other titles, unlike Degeneration. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be the same case with Revelations.

I'm getting the game next week, but I wanted toknow: do you guys feel the story is actually relevant after playing it? or is it more like... RE3 or 4

P.S.: I know RE3 and 4 are important to the series, but they feel more like ide games, since they don't involve themselves in much of a wide plot for the next entry.

Yeah, the doors and the chained/locked doors are the same as well. Not just the pictures.
