Yes. In fact, Norman sees himself as the keeper of the truth (the pda that contains the evidence on Morgan's betrayal), therefore he survives only by his will to protect the evidence. You can see him not mutating even after he injected himself with the T-abyss. He finally mutates when Jill takes his PDA away from him. But I suspect him to be "compatible" in some way with the virus since his final mutation looks like a Tyrant a bit. Anyway, I found his video log impressive, you can sense that his determination to take revenge on Morgan is so strong that he even defies the virus within him.Originally posted by ArchelonIs that really why he didn't mutate? Seriously?

I thought about that, too. I always found weird Sergei's mutation because you don't see him injecting himself with the virus. But perhaps thanks to his will he could avoid mutation, just like Norman? But Norman has more trouble resisting the virus, though.Originally posted by ArchelonSo does this mean Norman is a similar case to Sergei?Last edited by Grem; 02-04-2012, 06:28 PM.

I think he was definitely one of the people that had the low percentage chance of turning into a Tyrant from the T virus, and the T-abyss was a variation so it definitely had the same strain for that possible transformation. I even remember that Wesker mentioned in Umbrella Chronicles that Emotions could also have a play in the transform effect (like with Sergei) so that's another thing to consider when his will was so hell bent on revenge. I loved that part in the game and I was completely caught off guard expecting a familiar tyrant style boss that was similar to the first titles in the series. I think Capcom really has got a great internal team on the Resident Evil project after this, and Kawata did a brilliant job on this project as a producer when over seeing this. Makes me look forward to see how 6 will be.
EDIT: Who else here loved the swimming segments too? I thought that added well with the immersion on really feeling like being on a cruise ship, and the final chapter (with that godly music <3) was a brilliant touch on increasing that sense of exploration and mystery in that vast deep sea, with that being one of the themes of revelations. And just remembering one of the little cheesy jokes Capcom did with Chris gripping onto Jill's ass when aiming to shoot was a funny touch with their relationship (Especially that quick pause)

Looks great - just a shame they use the bastardised version of CODE: Veronica from Darkside, and UC Resi 3 cutscenes as reference, but then I guess it matches these visuals better than the original so I can pass that.Last edited by [STARS]TyranT; 02-07-2012, 03:20 PM.http://www.projectumbrella.net The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Just finished watching the playthrough on Youtube (no money for a 3DS) and goddamn that was a great ending, finally something besides the heroes going away on the sunset, I hope Jessica is the "bitch" from RE6 or that Capcom continue this storyline in some other game.
