It's really the same thing, like when they write "si" instead of "shi" or "ti" instead of "chi". The Japs and their funky ways of using romaji.

The Japanese Romaji systems are admittedly a bit strange and arbitrary, but Capcom would have surely remained faithful to one of them.Originally posted by Gemini View PostIt's really the same thing, like when they write "si" instead of "shi" or "ti" instead of "chi". Revised Hepburn: Goro Machida
Nihon-shiki: Goro Matida
Kunrei-shiki: Goro Matida
If it is Japanese, the name would most likely be 町田五郎「まちだごろう」"Machida Gorou"

It has largely to due with what best exemplifies how it's pronounced phonetically. Matida doesn't really make any sense, as it doesn't sound anything like that. So, yes, Machida seems to be the best accepted norm. Macida might be confused as being pronounced as "mah-see-dah".Last edited by doriantoki; 10-29-2012, 05:42 PM.

Go tell the people in the RE2 staff roll, having an absurd quantity of consecutive i's in their names (even three in a row). Capcom employees just can't do romaji.Originally posted by Enigmatism415 View PostThe Japanese Romaji systems are admittedly a bit strange and arbitrary, but Capcom would have surely remained faithful to one of them.
Resident Evil: Behind the Mask twitter, also in Facebookian flavor for great justice.

Looks cool! There is deffinitly something going on over there in regards to 1.5.... Dark Biohazard posted this...Originally posted by biohazard_star View PostThis was posted over at the RE Modding forum a while ago, by Mark Grass. Any thoughts? Assuming it's from the hacking team, I guess this would explain Curator's choice of pseudonym.

To me this is indicating he has access to files on the 1.5 disc?
I'm really leaning towards this.... There is an M I.D. key card on the 1.5 item list, look at the second last item.Originally posted by alinhoalisson View PostOr it can be the "M" key card on 1.5?

Nope, it means he knows how to identify BSS files with masks. Also, those are coming from BH2 trial. Nothing new under the sun.Originally posted by drunkdog View PostTo me this is indicating he has access to files on the 1.5 disc?

That seems to be the case. Although if the "M" stands for the surname "Macida", one has to wonder what the "L" in "ID Card L" stands for (Linda? It's not a surname though).Originally posted by alinhoalisson View PostOr it can be the "M" key card on 1.5?
EDIT: Probably just a coincidence. Pay my speculation no heed.
