More like I don't care at all to get in shape for the task. In order to get that record I knew exactly how to play the game and which items I needed for each segment of the story, very much like in one of those freaking speedruns.

I know what you mean. I used to play a lot of games like that, ie: get only the necessary items and plow through everything else, know the answer to puzzles on the first try, etc. I used to love playing RE2 and SotN especially in this way. I was just imagining it now, and if I were to attempt something like this again I'd get tripped up the simplest things, like which torches to light in the correct order in the media room. I can't remember off the top of my head, lol.

Why the rush? I do not know how the other players, but I'm going to play normally without haste, I will enjoy every corners of the game. For me, from 5 to 6 hours of pure play

Agreed, there's no sense in rushing through this game. I plan on enjoying it to the fullest.

But, with that said, I do not realistically expect it to be very lengthy. I'm expecting anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour of gameplay with SOME room warping necessary - it is doubtful to me they'll be able to recreate every room and "proper" item location. I hope I'm wrong, I'd love if they can manage to stretch the game to an hour and forty five minutes or even longer and I wish them the best of luck in their rebuilding endeavors. Everything so far looks amazing.

In-game voice sequences/cutscenes and FMV's don't typically add much length to RE playthroughs, do they? I'm just wondering, since those obviously won't be present (but the pausing text dialog cutscenes as shown in the antiscam vid would surely add some length if added throughout the adventure.)

yup and we also have resident evil distant memories in the works I love classic resident evil games , I have enjoyed re4 5 and 6 but I will always prefer the classic style of resident evil games.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts too , although RE6 turned out a bit lazy done :/

I like the idea, but I've only played RE and RE3 recently, and everytime I try to do speedruns on RE I always end up dying at the end and then I get pissed off!
