UC Releases, Pictures of Guide, Game, and Extinction Soundtrack

I thought they said at E3 this year that every game, first party or third would come packaged with the Wii gun. Does this or doesn't it? I'm guessing a big fat no since the box is a standard DVD box and EBGames says nothing of it on their site.

But $50 after Dot's impressions makes me kind of weary to pick this up.

I've beaten all the scenarios up to Dark Legacy 2. In order to unlock it, I have to first get an A or an S ranking on Raccoon's Destruction 3. By doing that, I'll unlock Death's Door. Once I beat that, I'll finally unlock Dark Legacy 2.

But, gah, getting that A or S ranking is not going to be easy. So far, at best, I can get a B. Bleh.

UC's files confirm that Barry is alive at the end of RE1. It mentions all the people who made it to the mansion and of those who died (Richard, Enrico, etc etc). Though I didnt see Barry at all in my play through of the RE1 scenario, that might be because I took different routes?

Anyway, Ill be playing through Rebecca and Weskers RE1 scenarios (4 in total) and then encoding. It'll be a little while though, I need a break.

Archelon, I think playing it with two players would be easy. But thus far my highest rank on any mission is B

I hate this game. How on earth did I earn a B and not an A? Round those up, this game is retarded. Now I cant access Nightmare 2 unless I beat Nightmare 1 with an A or S rank. I cant get precise shots because the damn camera keeps moving. On top of that the cursor lag is adding to the frustration.

Well I've got A rankings on most missions with a B on the rest except for a C on one of the Rebirth ones.

I can't seem to get an A ranking on Raccoon's Destruction 3 no matter how many times I try. I'm only able to get a B. I really want to play fourth survivor too. :*(
I'm wondering if you unlock anything if you collect all the special items that were featured in the respective REs.

What exactly is "enemy hits"? Is it how many individual monsters you've hit or is it how many times you've hit an enemy?

I bought the sound track, its bad ass, though im not a huge death metal fan, there are some nice hard hitting songs in there, my fav has to be deathcar, and Flyleafs: So sick-remix

Id guess enemy hits are how many times you've hit all enemies totaled up.

Are critical hits only counted when you KILL the enemy with the critical hit?

Whats Dark Legacy? is it the sub-chapter for Raccoon Destruction? Damn, need a strat guide to look this stuff up, no stores in this area have it yet. Bought the eGuide, but can't exactly 'flip' through the pages. Wasn't aware you needed a certain rank to unlock specific chapters, ugh, not gonna be easy, only have 1 'A' rank so far, rest all 'B's and a few 'C's... ...all are done up to the Russia chapters except that 1 sub-chapter in Raccoon.

Like how they've polished up Outbreak's R.P.D., it doesn't look so horrible anymore. Best was what they added, the outside stairwell to the 2nd floor, they finally turned the camera around!, that was freakin' cool! ..facing out into the streets and the surrounding buildings...that blew me away, too bad you can't check it out at your own pace, with the game pushing you along.

The fight with Nemmy, the tentacles coming through the floor/rooftop....any defense here? or you just supposed to take a severe health cut, glued in place? ..tried machine gun fire, even the knife, can't say I noticed it having any effect at all.

About the Nemesis fight, you have to shoot the foremost part of the moving lump of ground. =ve been able to stop all of the tentacles once and its kind of hard to do.

I assume you need to kill an enemy with a ciritical hit for it to count. I Shot Nemesis in his critical spot during the first encounter in the RPD so many times but they apparently didnt count

HAHAHA! A lough of despair ... I was hoping UC to be a good game that goes back to the roots of the serie and this is what we get...? cRapcom is seriously pissing me off:Outbreak was horrible, RE 4 was crappy(IMHO), RE 5 probably won't have a survival horror atmosphere like most of the previous titles we know and love and now UC failes (yes, I like oldschool RE games ).

Ah, so before they've actually broken through then? I tried the knife again, but this time aimed the camera towards the ground as I was slashing, think it had some effect, wasn't losing as much health. But an easier way was not letting Nemmy get up onto the rooftop at all, started with firing all 4 rockets right away, then constant machine gun fire non-stop, he was never able to get any other attack in.(the rooftop/tentacles or the lifting you up in the air w/tentacle) ..it ended with my first 'A' rank for 'Raccoon 3' and unlocking Ada's 1st chapter.

Another thing that helped was finally finding the critical hit spot with zombies, almost literally on the top of their heads, before I was lucky to get 8-9 for this chapter, after finding it, shot all the way up to 25 critical hits.

Whats needed to unlock Ada's 2nd chapter? Got an 'A' rank but didn't get anything for it. Btw, at the end of this chapter, the cutscene:

To Dot and anyone else who is experiencing a problem with cursor lag. This might be complete BS but I read it at another forum...
This guy reckons that he was getting lag so he unplugged his Wii and hooked it up to his old (non-HDTV/non-widescreen tv) and the cursor was suddenly smooth as silk. He then blasted through the game with ease.
Just thought it was worth mentioning.
I hope it's not true because I was looking forward to playing it on my big new HDTV.
It seems some people have no probs and beat the game quite easily on all difficulties. I'm not sure what's going on.
