2:37 in the trailer as the lift decends you get a cracking picture of said woman, sorry if it's already been stated.

Regarding the woman on the monitor:

I still don't understand the ponytail. I know we haven't seen Jill since her mission in Umbrella Chronicles, but changing her hairstyle just really confuses me. They've never done this with a character before. I mean, as much of a makeover as Leon received in RE4, his hair style was relatively the same.

I know this sounds really silly, and I'm not trying to nitpick about it, but I just don't get it.

i don't think it's silly or nitpicky at all, im not to impressed with her new makeover, i mean, was there a point to it? she already looked great in Remake, i mean hairstyle fine, but hair color? c'mon, why capcom? what next? emo Claire?

i like the pony tail, im not to bothered about that, other than the fact we now have two characters with pony tails (Jill and Claire). but why blonde? WHY!? is capcom trying to make her sexy and make her a "blonde bombshell" or something stupid like that now? are they trying to make her a bimbo? i really prefere her as a brunette.

If you think about it logically, Jill has been held captive for 730 days and her hair grew longer accordingly, since most captives aren't allowed to the hair salon every 2 weeks.

And the blonde appearance may just be caused by the tint of the stasis tube glass or the interior liquid.

Maybe it was also just a red herring to make the impatient, often irrational fanbase think that she was Sherry? I mean, they must know the uproar the appearance of blonde Ashley did to fans before they knew she was Ashley in RE4. Why else would they have tube woman appear (or possibly be) blonde and also make Allyson a blonde, when these women could have had any other hair color.

I think they like tormenting the fans.

As if we don't do it bad enough to ourselves with our rampant speculation.

When comparing the two, they do look very similar. Hot damn...I'd love me some more Haunting Ground. Capcom females often do look similar. The main female in Clock Tower 3 looks a lot like Ashley as well.

I totally agree. It's really sort of uncanny. Fiona was so cute though, and the resemblance makes me smile.

I love Haunting Ground as well. It's actually one of my favorite games, and it makes me terribly said so many people were unimpressed with it.

If the Tube Girl is the real Jill, then I suppose the long hair makes sense if she's been in captivity for all those years. But, since I'm under the impression Tube Girl is possibly a Jill clone... Well, does a clone's hair grow? *baffled* And, really, since I'm also convinced the Masked Woman is Jill, I'm really hoping that at least that version of Jill has her original hairstyle.

Again, I know this is silly to nitpick about, but I'm just thrown off by it. I really don't think Capcom would be realistic enough to have a character's hair grow throughout their years of captivity. Alexia's didn't. I mean, as a child she had long hair, and she was in a stasis tube for over a decade and her hair would've been a hell of a lot longer than it was when she released.

you know, i have to agree here, if she's blonde, im afraid she's just gonna be fan service, i didn't mind her clothes in RE3, but this is just WAY to far. i think it would be better than Jill not be in RE5, that she be in there purely for fan service or eye candy, just to look sexy.

Yeah, but Alexia's situation didn't make much sense anyway...since she was supposed to be cryogenically preserved for 15 years to preserve the virus, so she did age, etc, but she also came out of the stasis tube with freshly shaven legs...so somehow her body aged but none of her hair grew. It is yet another wonder of video game logic.

As for everything else you said - I pray to God that there are no "clones" involved in this game whatsoever. That's why I hope Jill/Mystery Woman are separate entities from the blonde in the stasis tube (who I would love to be Sherry or Alexia).

i loved the tint of redness Jill has in her hair, it's just so awesome.

anyways, maybe Wesker made the Jill clones looks slightly different so he could tell them apart, and the original Jill still has brunette hair, but her clones have all different styles and colors.
