Karen Dyer Interview; Resident Evil 5 Japanese PS3 Commercial

Resident Evil Center has posted a new interview with Karen Dyer, the motion capture and voice actress for Sheva Alomar in Resident Evil 5.

It appears the Playstation 3 version of Biohazard 5 has received its own exclusive commercial in Japan. This one does not contain the actress who played GoGo Yubari from Kill Bill, and it consists entirely of footage from the game. Some of the footage is new, and the dialogue that plays during the commercial has never been heard before, so be warned of potential spoilers.

Regarding contents of commercial (Spoiler turds, beware):

Looks like Sheva is falling out of an airplane? It looks very surreal in that shot, though, so I think it may be a "nightmare" type thing for Chris. Anyway, Sheva WILL be with you at the end of the game. The ENTIRE game is co-op. And, Sheva lives. So, unless Jill takes her place at some point, we can rest assured she will be with us at the end of the game.

Also, the dramatic relationships between the characters in RE5 just keep getting better and better! I remember the "We're partners till the end" line first being stated in TGS 2008 trailer and it was the first time I felt connected with Sheva as a character and at ease with her being Chris' partner. This commercial makes it even better, actually showcasing her dramatic chase after the plane!

Noticed Sheva falling out of the plane, too. I have a feeling she'll survive no matter what, but if she isn't grabbed at the last moment by Chris, perhaps she'll be replaced by someone else? *hint hint*

Anybody else think that the song at the very end of the ad is the "theme song" for BH 5 that was being brought up last year by Capcom?
Also, the TriCell PS3 looks nice, I'd get one if I didn't already have a 360.

Holy flying dongs that commercial was awesome. HOW DOES a 30 SECOND COMMERCIAL BE SO DJKLKLDFJFFffffffff. That was also some amazing music, I really hope there are more scores like that on the OST.

Yep, I caught that just on the syringe in one of the flashes. Perhaps Wesker has made copies of his virus.

Also if you look closely at the capsules, there are many shadowy figures in them. Could they be Tyrants? Or clones? I would hope they aren't clones
