Degeneration was like an extended FMV made by Capcom. They admitted that they lacked the experience to actually make a full motion picture. That movie was their first step into making them. If you look at it that way, Degeneration was pretty good.

I hope they get the chance to make a sequel. I think it's all up to Sony, though. They were the ones that pushed the idea to make Degeneration in the first place. They might do that after RE Afterlife hits the screens. At least I hope they do.

I have to agree with you. I'll take Degeneration over the live-action movies any day of the week. It was weak and lacked in quite a few areas, and was very, very cheesy, but it was still pretty good for a first try. And I thought it was a lot better than that Final Fantasy Spirits Within movie, for a comparison to another extended video game cutscene.
