As much as I'd love to see RE2 REmade, I agree that RE3 is more in need of it than any other installment. I mean, just look what they did with the original. Can you imagine, I don't know, a Crimson Head Nemesis or something running around after you? That'd be great fun.
That'd be pretty cool, although imagine how annoying it'd be burning EVERY corpse >.<
I'd prefer RE3, since I wanna see Nemesis reimagined =P

I'd say it's a mistake. But on the matter of upscaled goodness, if Namco managed to squeeze the arcade version of T5 DR to mere 830MB, I don't see why Capcom can't do the same for some of their not-so-old titles.
Anyway, I'm pleased with the firmware update particularly for PS titles' compatiblity. I still want the HDD install mode fo the Outbreak games though. The games actually look better than they did running on the PS2, so I can retire my PS1 for good now.
Now if they can only get the audio channel seperation issue corrected with the old titles. Unless a game supports PLII at least, the seperation isn't very good and the volume is slightly lower (the latter is more likely a safety issue).
As far as I know yes. You can stop asking every few months. I dont have any new info to report and if I do Ill post it in the news.
Its looking more and more like a fuckup, but if it is, its a pretty huge one. The date is 2006/2007 so by the end of 2007 we should know for sure whats going on.
Quite a large update, but Ill start with the most exciting.
Im sure some of you are aware that there was a chainsaw controller that was released a while back by Nubytech. Since the company has gone under and its stopped being produced I've been speaking with a former employee who has now informed me that he has purchased the entire stock of the remaining PS2 chainsaw controllers.
I've dealt with him numerous times and hes absolutely trustworthy. He is offering them for sale at the super low price of $19.99 for one, $29.99 for two SHIPPED!!! (34.99 if east of texas for 2) The saws are new and SEALED. If you purchase two, they come inside the original Nubytech box. They can also be shipped in a master pack of 8 if you order eight.
If you missed out on this controller its a pretty cool collectors item, and most EB / Gamestops are either sold out or have severely damaged chainsaws left on the shelves for $49.99.
The saws will be sold in a week or so, so if you do wish to have one please act fast on this. If you wish to place an order, let me know via PM me with how many you want, your location (city, state, zipcode) and I can arrange the deal. He does accept Paypal.
With that out of the way, I received my Resident Evil Apocalypse Blu-Ray. I'm very dissapointed to say its pretty much a barebones deal. It contains most if not all of the special features as the original dvd release except they are all in SD resolution. The only thing in HD is the actual film on the disc. Dissapointment TOTAL. Heres some pics of the casing.
On a final note it seems the PS3 scaling issues with PS2 games has been fixed in the 1.5 firmware. However the PS3 still has some issues left, particularly of note is a blur that is around the entire image when using the PS3. While this is hardly noticable it would affect captures, so likely I'll be going with the PS2 still for the PS2 game capturing.
