Sorry had to be said though. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the Fanboys. With all that is wrong with the RE movies I never hear them say a bad thing about them. Constantly defending them just pisses me off. I like alot of things but am never shy of admiting when they get things wrong. These movies can do no wrong in the eyes of that one. ANNOYING.

...and? It's the same as people who like and defend anything - just because more people like, say, Remake or RE2 doesn't make there opinion more valid. It's still an opinion. And he's entitled to his. It doesn't mean he's a fanatical fanboy, it means he's someone who enjoys the movies. And let's face it, there are plenty of other people out there who do, too, because the damned things print money.

And you're wrong, by the way. He can do wrong. It's not like I think these are some deep, engrossing stories meant to have me leave the theater lingering with some philosophical wonderment. They're popcorn action flicks. I go in expecting to see zombies. I get zombies. T-Virus. Umbrella. I get all of that. So what if the main character is a female Leon? At least it doesn't screw with the game canon.

And the Executioner was pure fanservice, much like Pyramid Head in the SH movie. There was no reason for him to be there. I can admit when stuff is just flat wrong too, and that was a badly implemented enemy. While I like the new Wesker better than Blubber from Extinction, his accent threw me off. It was switching every line. The Alice clones thing was disastrous from creation to destruction.

Don't assume I put these things on a pedestal, I don't. I'm willing to not worry about them much though because the good for me outweighs the bad: I go in, I see my popcorn zombie action flick, and voila, money well spent. And no, you are not one to tell me I'm wrong.

Honestly, I thought the first film was pretty good, had some interesting characters, a semi decent twist near the end and some pretty good action......The fuck has happened? These films are so bad that I actually enjoy watching and then laughing about how ridiculous the whole thing is. Its almost as if these films are a spoof version of a real film. You cant take the characters seriously, Hell you cant even take the plot seriously. The only redeeming quality is that these films are fun to watch with a few beers and a load of mates and, lets face it, nobody is really paying any attention to the film.
Hopefully this is the last one, dont think I will bother to see it at the cinema to be honest, I'll proibably just borrow a copy from a friend or rent it from blockbuster.

How are they fun to watch? Where exactly is the fun? Tell me a specific good scene that you was like WOW!! THAT WAS COOL AS FUCK. Cause I can bet my house on it that its been done before. You say you expected Zombies and you got Zombies. Yeah you got the lamest fucking zombies ever. The Walking Dead now that is zombies. Well, no. The games are pretty competent in their original scripts and dialogue, and the stories are pretty well-done, and they do not have a Mary Sue protagonist. It is only through the process of localization where things go really screwy.

The movies do not go through that process of localization and still end up as complete horseshit.

Yah. After I watched the movie for the first time, I was like "wait did I missed the part where they explains what's the deal with the executioner?"

It was explained very clearly his origin was the same as the tunneling zombies with totally-not-a-plaga things coming out their mouths.
