one thing i like about this trailer is how the story still doesn't make sense and screw with our heads, unlike the way they promote the story of RE5 by actually showing you 75% of the plot in the trailers.

Agreed. What is shown is backstory (Terragrigia Panic), the basic setup for which characters are where and how they got there (For example, O'Brian saying "I'm sending Quint and Keith," then they end up where Chris and Jessica were; Showing Chris and Jessica head off to the ship), stuff that will make the game very, very difficult and should be quite worrisome for the characters (Invisible Hunters; Chris tied up to a chair, shirtless, in the same room as the Veltro leader; Parker injured in an unknown manner and Jill's going to have to help him move around), stuff that's early into the game (Rachel becoming an Ooze; Vester showing up and trying to kidnap Jill) and introducing cast members.

There's still quite a few questions I have, such as why Jessica holding a smoking gun in the Casino in the Gamer's Day trailer and what caused Parker's injury (is he going to be infected? Did someone instead of something cause it? If so, who?).

If you include the Viral Marketing campaign for RE5, they spoil most of the game, aside from the boss fight with Wesker in the volcano and his subsequent death.

Well I guess Capcom doesn't wanna screw things up again with spoiling too much of the story for us.

I try not too watch these story-based trailers much. As in trying to see into the details and stuff.

But trailers that feature gameplay, I will see them a bit more carefully. Wanna make sure this plays decent.

There's also the stuff about the guy in the chair from the first trailer with Chris and Jill pointing guns at each other, but for some reason I feel like the probable storyline that'd come from that may have been scraped.

I believe that there was a more recent trailer (from TGS 2011) that actually named the guy in the chair... "Mr. Redfield".

That's why I think it was scraped, because in the first trailer it wasn't Chris, the chair guy had a different voice, unless it's someone with the same surname. And there's the whole issue about them pointing guns at each other.

I had the impression that the 1st. trailer was edited in a way as to make it seem like the dude on the chair was doing the talking. When in reality, it was another person doing the gabbin'.

But yea, they did change a few things along the way since then. But that dude is still on that chair. And who else has that surname aside from Claire?
