Capcom's RE6 Sales Expectation

The comparison doesn't really make much sense. Either way aren't RE6 preorders really high anyway? Last I've heard it already has more preorders than any other RE game before it and that surely could mean great sales.Originally posted by Pikminister View PostSo we can expect Lost Planet 3 to outsell the first one or the second one?

You weren't talking about pre-orders in your other post.Originally posted by Alkar View PostThe comparison doesn't really make much sense. Either way aren't RE6 preorders really high anyway? Again, you were saying that maybe we could expect RE6 to hit the mark based on how much RE5 sold before. Thus why I asked (with a ton of sarcasm) if by using the same logic, we could then expect Lost Planet 3 to sell like the previous ones did (or better).
Anyway, RE6 will sell good enough. Not sure if it will have long sexy legs to reach 7 million with so many stuff coming our way after E3.Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.

And we should congratulate Capcom for that... and also for lowering their expectations for Dragon Dogma (10 million, really?)Originally posted by aris13 View PostActually sales excpetations for Lost Planet 3 are lower than the sales figures of Lost Planet 1 and 2.Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.

The director had the king size balls to feel like speaking for Capcom when he said in a very public interview:Originally posted by aris13 View PostThat's what Itsuno the director hoped, it's not the official projection.
And I said we should congratulate them for lowering their lofty expectations. Somehow you have a problem with that.we really want this game to sell ten million units worldwide. We want to sell a lot, and that's just something that we think we can do. We're not positive [it will be a success]. Of course it's a risk, but that's what we want

Well he said it. It's not like he dug a hole on the ground and yelled into it. What he said was pretty damn public.Originally posted by aris13 View PostWell he shouldn't have said that since Capcom never had such high expectations from the title. 1.5 mil was since last year the official projection.
And the previous projections were changed because many games would come out too late or after the current fiscal year (it ends this month).Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.

"Want" is a lot different from "expect". Every developer wants their game to sell 10 million units.Originally posted by Pikminister View PostThe director had the king size balls to feel like speaking for Capcom when he said in a very public interview:

Either way preorders are already high for 6 so the potential is there. Plus the game looks miles ahead of both 4 and 5.
