    Kitano's most recent stuff is pretty good too, I especially enjoyed his Outrage series.

    In Bruges.

    First time seeing it and I'm blown away by it to be honest. It's one of the most tightly written and funny films I've seen in a long long time. Characters are wonderful too.

    Go and watch it. It's absolutely brilliant.

    Been catching up on the most recent stuff, so was thrilled to finally get my hands on Ronja Röverdotter on BluRay, an old classic Swedish movie from '84, based on the Astrid Lindgren book of the same name. Fantastic fantasy/medieval/whatever movie.

    Anyway, I'll just leave this fantastic scene from pretty early in the movie here;
    Robbing scene w/annoying lady singing

    I saw "No-One Lives" the other day, horror flick directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (I don't recall seeing many movies of his since Versus). Anybody see that? It has Heather from Silent Hill Revelations in it, forget her real name, but at the end of this movie she seems to use a pipe like SH3, wonder if that was a nod to Silent Hill If I had seen this before SH Revelations I would say she definitely makes a good Heather.. Not a bad movie though by any means, similar in style to The Collector.

    Just got back from Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing. Really really fun and superbly acted. Very good.

    I was thinking of doing this during the past week, though it's started with Horror Express and it's not Hammer despite the cast.

    Resident Evil Retribution

    Pure and utter garbage. I loved the first 2. But for some reason, everything starting with extinction became trash.

    I can't believe I've seen Deep Rising and Aliens in the same sentence. Deep Rising is one of the very worst films of all time.
