I was playing some yesterday, I still have horrible matchmaking issues, as in...it doesn't matchmake. Well, if I leave it searching with everything set to 'any' for 20 minutes it may.
Always up for some friendlies though, pretty much all I can do.

Well, it's been a while, but here are some new vids of some of mine and Mr. Spencer latest matches. These were recorded last saturday(4/2/11), in there sequential order.
More to come on these, and soon! I really need to catch up on my offical number, so I can get rid of the "crazy match tag", but also, here are the next few matches I've saved from bouts with Jill's Boob.
I really need to get the order's in place, and also some of the matches I've had with YamiYumes, Guardhousemusic, and Jill4EverStars. I have yet to play with KylieDog, so I guess we will have to see about soon enough. And I wouldn't mind playing some matches with you too, Aris. All in all--I just REALLY love this game. So much fun.
At this point, I can play most of the characters decently except She-Hulk, Dante, and Trish. Yes, it's kinda sad that I'm better using Modok than those guys. And I used to pratice the hell out of Dante. But he just doesn't fit my playstyle now, and playing him effectively requires good knowledge of his towering moveset.
Gotta say though. Really love Jill. At first, I was put off like most everyone else, but really, she's great for combos, and level 3 x factor makes her a very good momentum shifter. Her turbos certainly aren't the reason to play her, but the Uzi whirl I find is a nice way to KO an opponent before giving them a chance to make a tagout.
I'm also thinking about picking up Shurma-Gorath. . .damn you, Capcom.

Sentinel got nerfed, and buffed.
His health was 1,300,000, is now 900,000. Couples of specials got a slight damage buff.
Insert a 'Sentinel got NEUTRALISE' joke somehere.

Jill is just not fun to play with (just like in MvC2!), and Shuma Gorath, while having a bit more potential than Ms. Valentine, is just another "WTF?" character taking up the roster spot of a better Marvel character. I really don't understand many of the choices for characters in this game, lol. Oh well. It's still a blast to play...although even just a week away from it makes me feel rusty.
I don't know how many more characters will be added, but I'd really like to see Cyclops make a return. Then my "Team America" triumvirate will be complete.
As of right now, I still believe that MvC2 > MvC3. The new roster is less appealing (not because of less characters but because of "personality"). And the "dumbed-down" control scheme is infuriating.
*Haha, what a crock of shit.
I still like MvC3 more than MvC2 for the sake of gameplay all on its own and it seems to keep a better balance with the
less character roster it has and less recycled characters and no joke characters.
I feel the same way with Super Smash Bros. Brawl when compared to Melee,
which Melee had a big problem with character balance...most battles were
one-sided and most people just went ahead and picked Fox, Fox #2, Marth,
Marth #2, Captain Falcon, etc.
I was happy that some of the characters got nerfed and some got improved
upon, also let's not forget that the clone characters finally got original
movesets.
...The only gripe I have about MvC3 is its lack of modes and a spectator
mode is needed to keep lobby waiting interesting. Also, what happened to
the ability of playin your own custom music while playing? MvC2 (PS3) and
S/SFIV (PS3) had it.
Overall, MvC3 seems like it was a rushed product but at least from my POV
the core gameplay which is what matters for me the most was not rushed
to say the least.Last edited by Kaneco; 03-19-2011, 10:14 PM.

We only got the steelbooks here for the pre-orders/special editions. No codes for the character DLC. Sadly.
Either way, probably gonna grab stuff at the end of this month (along with all 3 XBLA releases on the 30th, the Mass Effect 2 DLC on the 29th, the Lords of Shadow DLC and so forth)

Spoiler:
they never say "Arm == Wife". They only say that bionic limbs needs a "catalyst" to not potentially mess up their users. The catalysts were presented as being someone preferably related and/or close to the person getting equipped with bionics. Typical comic book stuff that never really needed to be elaborated further on, leaving the possibilities many. Super Joe drops a few "hints" whilst he's pretty much just pissing Spencer off at the end of the game, but whether or not you can really trust him at this point... who knows, but even he's just being plain vague at that point. Either way, while their actual use has yet to be elaborated on, named catalysts were mentioned in the profile screens for both Mag and RAD in the final area of the game and in BC:R2 (which is set before the purge) Spoiler:
they show how characters using limbs not intended for themselves clearly go nuts (as they also say in BC) - this on a larger scale than what Groeder did. Iirc, in BC:R1, Groeder's arm was done w/out a proper catalyst at all.
...but I bet Capcom wouldn't hesitate to release, yet another Costume DLC to
appease to fans and milk on it.

She seems good for breaking turtlers, mixing low, high and overhead attacks fast plus can dash behind an opponent mid combo to mess the blocking up, plus even if you don't get past the block she can keep hitting and often hit them first when they go to counter.
Her assists seem crap to me though, not the sort of assists that should realy be landing against an aware opponent.

How is Jill Valentine when it comes to going against other characters? Balanced? Any effective team combos with her? I've not paid much attention to her DLC counterpart and just wondering if it's worth buying now or just waiting for the price to drop and get her later.
