It's weird, the whole "nanomachines" fiasco. Didn't Kojima throw the supernatural in our face with MGS3? Considering The Sorrow was Ocelot's father, it would at least give a "genetic" explanation for Shalashaska's channeling. I wonder how the fans would react if MGS4 instead blew the lid off reality (well, to a greater extent) and explained away Liquid as an actual vengeful spirit. Plus I agree with missvalentine, I never bought Para-Medic overseeing Gray Fox's tampering. It's too "dust under the rug."

i disagree with you completely, out of all the Metal Gear protagonists. Big Boss is my favorite, then Raiden, and lastly Snake.

although, i do think it was kinda stupid having him in MGS4's ending. i think they should have just left all the MGS3 characters out of it. since the MGS3 characters are my favorites, and MGS4 ruins almost all of them.

i think the only character that wasn't ruined was Rosemary, my third favorite MGS character, i really liked how in the end she still stuck by Raiden through thick and thin. it was pretty cool her epilogue.

I must admit, I'm with Spencer on Big Boss. It was fine portraying the guy in MGS3 the way he was, and slowly showing his decline into someone willing to commit war crimes such as a nuclear holocaust and using child soldiers. But trying to make the guy seem like a hero and a patriot with the crimes he commited...

No. Maybe he had his reasons but they're never, ever good enough for what he did. It's like saying some saidistic rapist is cool because he looks badass and knows kung fu. He's still an ass.

same here, but i have yet to play MG1 and MG2, (im looking for a copy of Subsistence so i can play them), but i like Naked Snake, he's a great character, and my favorite Metal Gear protagonist.


also, does anyone else think the Shagohod is cooler than the Metal Gears?

it's even more reason why MGS3 is the best!

i know lots of you think MGS1 is the best, but i think MGS1 is just slightly overrated, i liked MGS2 and MGS3 a lot better.


also im having trouble with a decision, i have yet again saved up just enough money to finnaly at long last buy a Wii with RE UC, and then my game store gets an order of brand new copys of MPO which is really really rare where i am.

i only have enough for one, so should i get MPO or RE UC?

don't get me wrong, i loved MGS1 as well. i just don't think it's the best. but i do think it's really good though.

really, cause i went to one gamestore and i couldn't find any trace of it, and i asked and they said it was really rare. then i went down 2 levels in the shopping mall to another game store and there was about 10 copys on one shelf.

i don't know, but i still haven't played the first 2, so maybe when i play them (when i find Subsistence) my opinion on him will change.

i didn't think he was all to cool in MGS4, i just liked him as Naked Snake.

thats true, but your looking at him negatively.

i find it bad ass that he can survive in the forest full of soldiers after him, then defeating a huge ass machine, then helping my favorite mgs character gray fox.
