It wasn't really a clusterfuck, the only issue it had was that I think it would've benefitted much from an extra half hour to flesh everything out. It felt very succinct, even though I did really like it overall.

My only question is does it have music from the game? The first only had one or two from other sources IIRC.

I dunno Canas, I caught part of the films ending on Youtube and the Missionary final fight...was so Hollywood, but the real problem was that they made someone the good guy who is NOT the good guy. Ever.

They actually use a little more original music, but there's a lot of game music. The main theme this time is actually Never Forgive Me, Never Forget Me which was a nice touch.

Edit: Also a really cool thing was that Akira Yamaoka and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn recorded a new song, Silent Scream, specifically for the movie. I thought that was awesoooome!

The soundtrack is about half and half, of original music by Jeff Dana and Akira music. "Promise" and "Never Forgive Me Never Forget Me" were two I remember popping up the most. "Rain of Brass Petals (vocal version)" was the end credit music with a new one by Akira and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn called "Silent Scream" after that.

Brilliant! I'm there... to those people who said they wouldn't see it, how often do you get to hear Yamaoka tracks at your cinema?

I love Akiras music, but I wont have anything to do with this film. I think AKira is long overdue to be a film composer though.

Fuck Bollywood. They're worse than Hollywood and are in an almost permanent exploitation/dance mentality.

I loved it!

I'd give it a solid 8/10. The acting was pretty good and the story changes to the basic SH3 plot to help meld the game and movie stories meshed well enough. Also, Malcolm McDowell as Leonard Wolf was awesome.

One thing that was a little meh were one or two of the "forced 3D" scenes, you know the quick shots where you have something pop out at the camera on purpose. Other than that though, the movie did really well.

Also, at the end, they had two really awesome cameos.

They escape Silent Hill and hitch a ride from one Travis Grady. As they leave, they pass a police convoy with a certain prison bus headed toward Silent Hill *coughcoughMurphyPendletoncoughcough*

Overall though, great movie, and awesome CGI.
