I don't look around forums much but this guy was really shady/dodgey, he was someone to stay away from. There's people who have something to hide because they don't have something and people who have something to hide because they don't want to show it.

Anyway if it was real, why the hell would he use ftp, you could tell your high-tech friend the details he gave you to get some high-tech access to his network. Mailing/Posting would be a more prefered method (at least it is in the movie community).

When it was still on and relevant, I used to watch it all the time too. Then I was a lanky employee working at a supermarket. And almost everyone there watched the show. We would salute each other with a "Hello Mulder/Scully" every day.
