    God I love it...

    Member: That's gayzorrzzz!11!
Staff #1: Don't use the word gay in a derogatory manner.
Staff #2: Yes, that is very immature and prejudiced of you.
Staff #3: Depends on how gay it is....
*staff gets in picture posting, gay slappy fight*
Staff #1: Yeah, don't do that anymore.

    I love this place. xD

    No, you're combining different meanings.

Not as an insult, as a negative.

You know, this lil' discussion would've been avoided if one of the moderators here had deleted the g-word (as it was used in the OP - with a negative connotation, no less) and explained why it was taken out.

Since the OP dude used that word in that way, I figure he was still wet behind the ears. More so after he made so many silly mistakes and ignored all warning signs.

    Live and learn kid!

Not all uses of a word are negative. Simply describing someone as gay, for example, is fine...if they're actually gay. Using that description as an insult or as a negative, like that thing is somehow bad or negative itself? Not so good.

Simple rule - if you're using a word that describes people (such as gay) as something intended to be negative (such as an insult, a description that something is crappy, etc) then you should probably re-think it. Personally, insults make me smile and feel tingly (yes, I am a masochistic bastard) but it's always nice to take the opinions of others into consideration.
