      James Bond! Now we're talking!

Like around a million other folks, I got into the Bond Universe thanks to Goldeneye for the N64. I distinctly remember seeing Tomorrow Never Dies in theaters the day it came out, and since then I've seen every Bond film on opening day.

My top five favorite Bond movies would have to be
      Goldfinger
      Casino Royale
      Living Daylights
      From Russia with Love
      Goldeneye

The theme songs are also a great addition to the franchise (some not).
Anything sung by Shirley Bassey was excellent, Paul McCartney and the Wings's "Live and Let Die" was amazing. The theme songs to "For your Eyes Only", "View to a Kill", "The World is Not Enough", and "Casino Royale" were also great.

On the other end of the theme song spectre, "Die Another Day" and "Quantum of Solace" received the crap end of the stick IMO. Madonna almost made my ears bleed with her techno junk.

Bond Universe is pretty big, so much to talk about!
On a more somber note, MGM has had some financial trouble as of late. Hope everything goes ok and they continue to crank out Bond movies.

Timothy Dalton was my favourite bond, very underrated. Fair enough he looked a little awkward with the ladies but he was hard as hell. Plus he did his own stunts. The opening sequence of the Living Daylights where bond is ontop of the jeep, that really is him.
Roger Moore on the other hand, although amusing, needed a stuntman to open up a door.
Casino Royale was brilliant but Quantum of Solace was absolute bollocks.
          "I've got 100 cows."
          "Well I've got 104 friends."

My favorite Bond would have to be Daniel Craig, he embodies Fleming's vision of Bond as seen in the books. I like that he gets down and dirty, the other Bonds, I like them also, seemed to get into fights and their hair would still be perfect lol.

Casino Royale was my favorite Bond because not only was the action great but there substance in the movie like the book of the same name. I loved how he wasn't James Bond 007 right away, but as the movie progressed we see him get closer and closer to becoming the man he'd become later. The end is also my favorite of Bond endings, that to me is the greatest moment the words "The name is Bond, James Bond" were ever uttered

Sam Mendes in negotiations to direct Bond 23

After Marc Foster this is the second most famous director to helm the bond series.

I loved Casino Royale. imo it showed a vicious side of Bond that I always wanted to see. I have only seen Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day, and Casino Royale. They were all great imo. I loved the music and the cars. I also loved the darker side of Bond that Craig gave him. Made the movie more intense.

Interesting pick for Director. Should be interesting to see what he would do with Bond (and other characters) if he was on the helm of taking the direction on the 23rd film.

They should keep that vicious side. It made the movies more interesting.

According to Barbara Broccoli the new Bond film has been delayed

Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on Bond 23 indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of Bond 23

                            Nice going MGM....

Next James Bond Film Permanently Canceled

The latest film was shaping up to be one of the franchise’s best with Sam Mendes in the director's chair and Peter Morgan writing the screenplay. If someone swoops in to save MGM we may have a Bond film in the near future, we can still hope.

James Bond isn't going anywhere, it's a huge franchise I'm sure that they will find a solution.
