Ah I've been trying to get back into shape recently too, since starting uni I've kind of let myself go a bit plus I can't afford the gym membership until next year where I'll get it for free anyway. I've been getting it back again recently though, been hitting the gym as often as I can now that I'm back home (I work at my local so I get it free) and I've seen great improvements in just two weeks! Already put back on some of my bulk now just got to lose the beer belly. I find doing cardio after weights training works pretty well together. I don't think Ill bother with protein because I build muscle pretty easily anyway. I need to be back for the trampoline national finals this year so I don't look like a fat mess next to the other performers.
Id say my two biggest weaknesses diet wise would be pizza and beer...... two of the worse things I could beat when trying to shave off that last bit of gut.Last edited by I_Am_Nemesis; 04-24-2011, 08:08 PM.

LOL I'm doing cross fitness. Cardio/jump rope/jumping jacks one day, then the next I do weights/squats/ and these things called burpees. and sometimes when its sunny outside I'll play tennis. I've noticed I'm beginning to get Chris Redfield boulder punching arms so I should probably do some yoga to thin them out.Last edited by TheMedic; 03-28-2011, 01:53 PM.

Just read the link, thanks for it! I'm doing most of that already except for cutting off sodas completely but I've gotten down to 1 a day and soon will cut them off completely! I guess I do need to eat more since my body is burning off a lot of calories everyday. I just feel so guilty after I've worked so hard. I guess its a girl thing. I do have good news though, in the past week I've worked out I checked the scale this morning and I've lost 6 pounds. I just need to lose 10 more and I'll be at my goal weight.
Also, I took this weekend off from exercise... I really needed a rest, but is two days too much? I know you're supposed to take one day off, but I don't know about two?Last edited by TheMedic; 03-28-2011, 01:46 PM.

Don't worry about exercise Darkmoon, I've been lazy lately and haven't done any exercise at all. And my work/college environment is sitting on a chair and working on computer most of the day. The only way I lost weight is through diet (eating small portions instead of big and cutting soda).
The funny thing is, I lost weight when I was not thinking about it. I was a bit occupied by college work so my mind was redirected from food. This confirms that if you do not prioritize food that much, you will certainly lose weight.Last edited by Trent; 03-28-2011, 08:22 AM.

My main weakness is cheese. I eat very little meat, and it's usually on pizza or in a burger...covered in cheese. I drink soda very rarely, drink fruit juice fairly rarely and mostly just drink cold water. But most of my food gets cheesed, which is unfortunate. And I don't get much exercise, due to the dodgy limbs.

I used to be not in shape. I was 80kg for 181cm, but had no muscles. About three years ago, I started to run about 45 min 3 times a week, do push up and lift weights. Now, I'm 70kg, have got some relatively big arms, pectorals and shoulders. I'm pretty much in shape thanks to regular training.
I didn't change my diet, though. Just don't eat between meals.
I think you just need to train about 3 or 4 times a week. 1 hour each time.Last edited by Grem; 03-28-2011, 05:47 AM.

Your diet is more important than the exercise. I'd say the amount of exercise your doing now is fine, just remember to variate it every three weeks or so otherwise your body will adapt and you won't get any more benefits. And when I say diet I don't mean about starving yourself I mean about eating the right things at the right times.
You need to eat more than two meals a day otherwise your body will begin to store fat. Try to eat something every three hours such as a piece of fruit and store up on healthy fats and oils such as what a handful of almonds can provide.
If your going for slim then you don't need creatine. I'd argue its not 100% safe either, I know a few guys who have experienced side effects from that.Last edited by TheBatMan; 03-28-2011, 04:48 AM.

I just had a look through that guide that Project Omega posted. It's an excellent read and I think you should read it OP if you haven't already.
From the OP, the only thing that I can comment on, is cutting out soda. And that's one of the first things raised in the guide

I'm at the proper weight for my height (5'8 and 131lbs currently). It's just all these years of sitting on my ass and being lazy has built up all this flab and cellulite. I've burnt most of it off, but I'd like to be tone and slimmer. I want the end results to be like Natalie Portman in black swan but not quite as thin. It's just taking forever and when I tried on a bikini the other day it was a real let down to still see some of that cellulite. Being a woman sucks, you guys have it so easy! My guyfriends can eat a whole pizza and still be thin as a stick.
I'm definitely gonna take ya'lls advice though. I'm already eating lean cuisine for dinner most of the time, then other times I'll cook a healthy meal. I'm trying to stay away from red meat and sweets as well. I guess I just have to be patient and sooner or later all this hard work and dieting will pay off.Last edited by TheMedic; 03-27-2011, 12:59 PM.
