Furries are the kind of people who despise their own humanity, which I assume is derived from "I hate my parents and society!" syndrome, so they choose to reject humanity and by extension, society.

Do you know what the most dangerous species is? It's mankind! Furries are like any other animal, standing in the way of our relentless march towards progress.

Christ, it looks like god made another....
Why don't you join Oskar and go spend the rest of your lives agreeing with each other.

It'd make things around here a lot more pleasant.

Well... yes and no. There are people who like that but mainly people have their own "fursonas" (furry personas) that they use to interact, like characters for roleplay, etc. Mostly people like stuff with original characters, not to say that it doesn't exist. There's quiiiite a fanbase for Kimahri Ronso of FFX, for example. XP

Example: My fursona. And before anyone says anything, the pink thong is an inside joke my friend who drew this and I have. No, that's not what's normally worn by the character.

EDIT: Added a picture with something more than a thong. Because that really doesn't help my case with furries being sex freaks.

My answer: People who take an active interest in anthropomorphic animals. That is, human-like animals. Not to say a sexual interest (which is what furries are infamous for thanks to CSI), but just a hobby that's grown substantially. Sure, I'll openly admit I don't mind sexy pictures of furry characters, but it's just the same that I don't mind seeing ads with half-naked women, etc. I don't act on it (because GASP, I can control my urges not to rape anything without clothing fit for the arctic on!), but I don't mind it either. It's eye candy.

Some people take it to the extremes that the stereotypes show, but there's a range of people much like outside the fandom. Nice people, mean people, socially awkward people (I bet Oskar's a furry), etc. It's just an interest in anthropomorphic animals.
oh right so its not really meant to be a sexual fetish, its just a collection of fans who like these fictional characters such as... the only explanation I can think of is the girl bugs bunny in Space Jam (awesome film).

I liken it to family reunions. Most people are your normal family, but then there's that uncle... The creepy uncle that nobody really likes to talk to.

In the fandom, that uncle is all those sex-crazed furries you know that make up the furry stereotype. The other 90%-95% are actually very decent people.

Just sayin'. Thought I'd squeeze that in there.

Anyway, yeah, very glad this guy is gone. His viewpoint was definitely interesting, but when you start talking about women asking for rape and being subservient tools to man's cock, and children's sexuality... yeah, kinda not okay, no matter your opinion.
Excuse my innocence or perhaps naivete but what exactly is s furry?

That might almost be outlawed, because the stories of Greatbeard would be so severely violent that it would warp children.

It's funny because they'd all be true.

That should be Darkmoon's new name, "Greatbeard". He'll be perpetuated as this mythical figure, like the bogeyman or something. Designed to scare people before they go to sleep at night, we should say that to newbies - "Behave yourself or Greatbeard will get you!"

    It'll scare them shitless.

Well as long as you're a benign leader (exceptions being the weekly lynching of your enemies, love those spectacles), I'd be glad to live under the Great Beard.

I don't mind furries. Never got it myself, but then I don't get BDSM either, or people who smoke. Who am I to judge what people do?

...other than your future lord and master.

Well, technically it was only illegal where he is. I like to think it's globally creepy though.
