Capcom did announce a 'big surprise' at E3 this year, but I highly doubt its this.
If it is, then I will continue to eat my fist.

The "big surprise" after last E3 was just a stupid convention with people cosplaying RE characters.

Just this week, 3 of my favorite RE pages on facebook posted the RE7 fake cover. The worst of all: one of them was a respected website that has been around ever since 2000.

Yep, I wonder why a lot of websites just post everything without checking out first if the info is true. Even some RE sites also posted it on the main page. They are just helping a fake spread more.

It's because Resident Evil is a huge franchise. Any rumor that could be believable will cause a shitstorm within communities.

As many have said, it's most likely fake, but I guess E3 will show whether a new Resident Evil is on it's way.

It's weird that there is currently no game officially in development. Normally there is always something to look forward to. I hope a new game gets announced soon, would be nice for sure...

There is allways a RE under development, but no info has been leaked yet. Capcom probably is waiting for Revelations to clean up the franchise`s image before showing anything about the next RE.
