I'm really being freaked out by all your scarey tales. I really do wanna play them, I just feel they may be a tad tooo scarey. If it just wasn't for those jump scares

Its werid. I played doom 3, I didn't get far as I hired it out. I got up to these levels that all had directions in there names (like west etc) and Its really not that far into the game. I was quite enjoying it and I could play. I did hear that there were jump scares so I donno if I got as far as I could before getting to a scare bit. And also at someones house I watched them play alone in the dark 3. or 4. I'm not sure which number. Its the one where you parachute down onto or near the house.

I seem to be ok kinda in horror games without jump scares or exsisive gore or screaming or werid twitching nurses.

Also, is number 5 the last RE? number 6 won't be RE is space will it?

Ohh and something else I wanted to know. I heard horror movies are basicly porn with added scares and gore. There is no sexual things in RE right? and no hooker zombies like in dead rising? I just want to know because I think that ruins the hole thing.

Do you know of any games that are creepy but really.. tame?? Mabey if I eased my way in?

Sorry for being such a wuss....

          :cupps face in hands: uhhhhg.

ok. The "horror Porn" is generally in horror movies from the 60's-80's , current toture movies like saw, and scifi-channel B-movies,

I don't know any horror game that has sex except Pyramid head raping a monster in SH2.

there are a few racy zombies in dead rising but it's really mild (no full nudity)

Hopefully the Resident Evil games will last for ever.

I'd like to add that some fun games to play are the house of the dead games.
Not as scary but lots of zombie kill'in

Ohh yea I have seen them at the bowling ally. They are only arcade games tho right?

They look really fun. I love how the zombies use weapons.

If you were playing RE 1 for the first time, would you recommend the first one or the remake? Do they stick to the story in the remake? I watched the starting of both. I know the acting and dialoge is quite amusing in number one, and the remake starting cutscene looks quite cool (if not a bit metal gear solid twin snakes).

            Sorry for being a noob.

Also can someone confirm if we have missed more than just the true story of biohazard here in english speaking countrys?

Play the original, THEN the REmake. That way the REmake will blow your mind, confuse, and Scare you even more.

cool. Would be werid going from remake to 2 and 3.

Do you know when the true story of biohazard will be completed?
                    How many chapters are left??

You need to know the backstory to understand RE right?
I loved trevors letters. I take it the places he visited are places you visit in the game? Its kinda a cool tips guide as well. Like telling you there is something you do with that golden statue. And that there is a path behind the waterfall.

the story will end when there are no more biohazards. (i.e. viruses, paracites)
or when the world is overrun with the virus

the first two games are self explanatory

With RE you need to manage inventory space don't you? Like a grid where things take up an amount of sqaures. Sorta like diablo if I remember correctly.

Do the camera angles ever get annoying? In dino crisis 1 and 2 they were ok (never played 3). And with the silent hill demo you got to move the camera which was very cool. Was the change in RE 4 because of problems? Or was it time for a change?

the games before 4 have standard inventory boxes, In RE4 they are a grid.
I and many other RE fans have no problem with the controls or camera.
It makes the game so much more cinematic. RE4 had a great system too. I like both.

Okey Thankyou I am just really interested I dont really want to look to far into the info on wikipedia in fear of spoilers.

The biggest problem I have is finding the games. Especcily the first. Games seem to be so rare in new zealand. I honestly have never seen a resident evil 1,2 or 3 around. And they are rarely ever on trade me (NZs ebay).

Well I better go now and do some chores. Cya later

If you have a DS. Resident Evil Deadly Silence is a port of the original game. just play "classic mode"

Think of Dino Crisis 1 = Resident Evil 1

                                Dino Crisis 2 = RE2 and RE3 style

but I loved the fact that you could run with weapons! hated that you couldnt in RE...but Dinocrisis kicked ass, should have made more like the 1st with the scary factor and the seconds gaming style, would have been bad ass!
