That's the complete disc. That footage is on one of the videos. The videos don't stretch either. They play at a certain resolution, in the centre of the screen, which you can see in his pic. Even on my tiny 34cm TV, they look quite small. He's just showing off.
And his avatar says 'No bullshit'... What a goose.
We'll never. Sad but the truth. Capcom could make much Money
with this beta. But they don't for several reasons I don't
want to mention here cause I think everyone here knows.
Capcom won't...but there are plenty of collectors who have it. And the thing is, while some have it for the perverse pleasure of owning something so few others have some have it so they can make money. There have been several occasions where people have sold it, but Dot and co was unlucky in buying it. The Curator one being the harshest to accept.
But eventually one will sell, if for no other reason than the ones hoarding it for cash know that if it's sold and released on the net there investment has just gone from being worth several thousand to nada over night. One of them will break, eventually. It's just a matter of patience.
I wish I could believe all this. But how many known discs of this
game are out there? I once had a disc that looked really like 1.5.
I put it into my (modded) Playstation and when the Sony Logo appeared
it said:
Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (Japanese)
SCEA (instead of the European SCEE)
Then the titlescreen appeared and the eyes color in the background was
different. When I choose "New Game" a screen of Elza and Leon appeared.
I tried to start with Leon. But the only thing he said was "That's just
freaking good" or something like this. Then it froze. I didn't try to play with
Elza cause I thought the disc was broken. If I think about it now, I always
think it may be that I had a 1.5 copy. But it's too late. In the RE-Virus
Forum one guy asked me to search for the disc. Didn't find it, too bad.
It would be nice if you can be more detailed about it. Where did you get this supposed copy, how, etc.
No offense, but there have been a lot of claimers here who have said the EXACT same thing (I had a copy, but it's busted now and my friend who was the source is long gone) so I'm just going to be skeptical about this for now.
Yup. Unless you can find said disc it's better not to mention such things. If you do, and even if it's too scratched to play it might be repairable...and we can still extract the bulk of the files, and possibly reapair it with ones from RE2
Best estimates for how many origional discs are out of Capcom's hands are somewhere in the fourties and fifties. How many copies of those discs have been made? No one's sure about that one.
As I said it didn't even work. I never said it was playable.
It could also have been just a video of the starting the sequences
of Elza and Leon. After Gorehound asked me for this disc I started
to search for it but I wasn't able to find it. I never said it was really
RE1.5. I only said it could be, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.
1 day ban for claiming to own a prototype with no evidence. The way you describe the disc shows that you had an intent to mis-lead people, and that is not cool here.
