I am thinking that the main reason Chris' line of " My last partner was a woman too " was perhaps removed not because it was sexist, but perhaps because it was too revealing to the eventual revelation of who or what Bird Masked Woman was and the ultimate fate of Jill herself as a result. Considering a lot of people were speculating that Jill was indeed not dead and that BMW could indeed be her, such a line would have been a HUGE give away to a big twist, though when you play through the game tbh, in the final reveal it is not so much a shock as a DUH ! moment as they beat you around the head with it ( BMW real identity ) from the outset.

Well they didn't really mask the idea that Jill was dead once you got into the game, it was implied pretty early that she was alive. As I stated before, we just speculated alot on her death since her HS was shown.

I think the VA was the same all along. I'm pretty sure the dude from REUC voiced Chris in RE5 as well. Anyone care to confirm or deny that?

I think they even changed Chris's VA. Still the changes aren't as big as compared to RE 3.5 and RE 4.

Apparently all that footage was from the earliest build of the game. The level resembles Public Assembly, but it is still different.

The one where the Majini grabs Chris from behind and pushes him to the ground was awesome, I don't think that made it into the game either.

I think we might see increased enemy count in the PC version, just like Capcom did with DMC4.

They decided it was too much work to add in any kind of Majini animations that weren't already in RE4

Funny considering all of the enemies past the second chapter have unique animations. =P

^All of your sentiments are very much agreed with. Chris solo, against an overwhelming number of enemies, would be tits.

Co-op is fun, but I really think it should have been left for "Mercs" only.

At the very least, they could have doubled the number of main game enemies.

I have always said that those early trailers, the Captivate 08, and the TGS 07 trailer were the best, that was the RE 5 game i wanted to play. The atmosphere , the enemy numbers, the vivid colors, the essence of being alone and surviving this ' Beta' assembly place, the dodging of the blades, the open areas and shacks, the grand level design, the claustrophobia, everything down to the last detail looked better, and i guess co-op was a contributing factor to the loss of this.

Again, not complaining, Re 5 was an incredible game, my game of teh year 2009 and 2009, but i agre with Gideon, its almost as if the full game was like a production, like in some ways they were trying to push the coop too much, hard to explain.

That vibe felt in this traileri s somewhat gone as well, teh detail to the village envrionment was astounding, and i find myself wishing that it would have been more like this.

Again, hard to describe but i feel waht you guys are saying, alot of people i have been keeping up with said the same, its a mix of thinsg i suppose, coop kind of lent a new vibe to the game ( much more action focused) the lack of escape and hide wasnt there as Takeuchi said it would be) the enemy numbers were better in the trailers, and more vicious enemies, as well they were all black, and it lent to that vibe i believe, adding all the white , asian, and middle asian enemies took that away


Gosh, im reading all your posts and i cant agree more, i wondered for a while if i wast he only one taht loved these traielrs more then i loved the final game. Everything you guys have said is good, i really wish capcom had gone a different route on many of the things this game had, really wish they did.

I'm pretty sure that was actually just Chris looking out of the Helicopter in the RE1 scenario, it looks like it at least.

I was talking about a scene from one of the REUC trailers that never made it into that game. I was using it as an example of how not all the stuff in trailers make it into the final product.
