Nope. We're just told that at some point not long after the mission, Krauser left the military and no one had seen or heard from him since. No mention of a crash or him dying or anything.

And may I ask what exactly Manuela can do so terrible with this virus that he's so impressed? And why was the 1st boss listening to her and not attacking her?

Krauser was apparently jealous of Leon's special treatment just because he had faced BOW's in the past. Leon got his orders directly from the president, and Krauser was apparently just sent in as support for Leon. Understandably, Krauser felt like he was just brushed aside, despite the fact that he had far more experience than Leon in the field, plus his celebrated military career.

Initially, he just wants to prove to the government that he's not just some tool they can cast aside whenever they want. As you play through the scenario though, he begins to grow an appreciation for the capabilities of T and T-Veronica viruses, thinking he might be able to use them to become stronger and show everyone just what he's capable of. At this point I think it's more just random musing than genuine consideration.

It's not until he sees what Manuela can do as a result of her infection with the T-Veronica Virus, and Javier's eventual merging with the Veronica Plant, that Krauser decides he wants to use the viruses himself. As we know already, his arm is impaled by one of the stingers fired by the first boss from Operation: Javier (you fight it a second time, and this is when Krauser is injured).

There's no indication that he is actually infected with anything (and if he was, he would be infected with the T-Virus, not the T-Veronica, because the monster was created using only the T-Virus), but the injury is apparently bad enough that Krauser fears he'll be discharged from the military as a result and never able to fight again, which, according to his profile, is all he ever really felt at home doing (Solid Snake, anyone?). He comes to resent Leon's determination to destroy the remaining viruses, believing Leon is doing it out of fear rather than the belief that it's the right thing to do.

Krauser, instead, comes to see infection by the viruses as a blessing rather than a curse, because of the incredible power that can be gained from them. Having heard about him from Leon, Krauser resolves to track down Wesker and see if he can give Krauser the power he is now seeking.

In a nice little nod to their conversation during the knife fight in RE4, Krauser refers to Leon and himself as "two sides of the same coin," with Leon wanting to destroy the viruses to save the world, and Krauser wanting to instead utilize them for the same end.

That's actually pretty cool.

Not really. Its explicitly stated that the virus was designed to be even more selective, so as to weed out the best of the Wesker Children.

My point is, it works on LIVING HEALTHY humans and you don't have to be dead or fatally wounded as "mut. stock" file, mistakingly, says.

Btw Krausers backstory is no that bad.. For a Solid Snake rip-off.

The official site for Umbrella Chronicles also said T-virus. Its completely incorrect though, don't worry about it. Just a really stupid error. He was infected with an experimental Progenitor variant designed specifically by Spencer for the Wesker Children. The T-virus doesn't have the "fucker with superhuman strength" ability. "Mutation stock" is just what Birkin was told.

Also, Wesker's eyes are normal in Umbrella Chronicles too. They only go red from time to time. RE5 shows that his eyes get more red as he gets more angry (lol).

Normal T-virus does not, but a variant possibly could have "fucker with sup, strength" ability. Although here I'm inclined to believe RE5. It is the Progenitor virus variant, and not T-virus. As News Bot said it's a really rough mistake.

Another Q: Did Wesker have to be killed for this to activate? Or was it slowly going to put his body in a "temporary state of death" like the WR1 mentions?

And was the spike thing that hit Krauser's arm just a weapon of some sort? Or was it apart of the monster? If it's the latter, then I suppose that would explain his arm mutating. What it doesn't explain is the Superhuman powers on-top of it.

He had to be killed or at least severly wounded for it to work. If that file tells truth this virus was made to revive dead organisms or as it says "to conquer death". So it would work only on dead or fatally wounded. Like almost all viruses in RE they get more "agressive" and regenerative after the host was wounded. I think it would've worked even if Wesker didn't get himself wounded/killed, but at MUCH slower rate and possibly different outcome.

If you count RE5 though, it's pretty clear Birkin's file is a lie. As a variant of Progenitor it would work even on healthy living humans if compatible.

Yes this is most likely. And this mutation stock can be ANYTHING. T-virus variant, Progenitor virus variant. even G variant(highly unlikely) lol

As for Krausers sub-scenario... So he doeas appear in this scenario?
